Hi
Now i am confused again
I have found these stuck Kiki cels on YJ - The seller has same Kiki cels that look nice.
But i don't understand the Blank piece of paper stuck on the back on each cel?
I carefully noticed the paper on the back (image in auction) - Has the painted characters impression from the paint showing through the back of each piece of paper (?) that i think is sticking the paper and cel together (?)
Also the seller doesn't mention if the paper in a 'Dunga' it's really hard to tell if there is a sketch under there (?)
If someone knows about 'Kikis' cels i would luv to know more...
I just ordered the Kiki's Delivery Service and My neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away.
I'd love to buy a Kiki cel

Re: Kiki cel question on YJ
The description says it's stuck to a "for-douga-use paper". There is no drawing on the paper, however. I guess sometimes when the studio discards the cels after production they're set aside with whatever paper is handy. I don't know if there is a real reason for why some cels are paired with their matching douga drawings and others simply with a blank piece of douga paper, though. Maybe the previous owner of the cel separated the two and simply paired it with a blank piece of paper to keep both in relatively good condition. Since this auction does not include the matching douga drawing, I'd assume the cel and matching douga have since parted ways. heh
