Oh...this is from a reseller who purchased it from Mandarake? Yeah, when will these people learn..? If you weren't going to buy it for $2500 then, what makes them think you'll buy it for almost double?
As for the Kickstarter, I believe someone made a killing trying to make potato salad, so I think there's hope for your cause.

Although that's very high, I'm very picky with things I would buy and that could have been on of them.
