Buyer BEWARE! - New Seller on YJ

Post by Jadeduo »

This newish seller servingbunny seems to have poached pics from older auctions and relisted them at lower prices, I'm not sure if this is a scam or what. However I figured I needed to bring this to everyone's attention

If you compare the auction sketches with my cel/sketch they are EXACTLY the same!

I'm pretty sure there are more pieces that have been spoofed! Please check the seller's listings against your collection!

Ya those indeed are exactly the same. Thanks for the heads up I was watching one of their auctions, not anymore.

What really clinched it for me was the fact the damage on the Chibi Chibi sketch is exactly the same as my sketch where it was once stuck to the cel.

Ya the sketch was easy to compare from the damage marks being attached to a cel at one point. They are identical though. If a couple auctions are fake then the 1000+ auctions are probably as well. Good catch and thanks for getting the word out. Unfortunately they have lots of bids currently. I bet they will all get shilled before the end too.

Update! So it looks like the guy took down the Makoto and Usagi cel, and the Chibi Chibi now has a note on it that says (Per Google Translate):

(2016 November 16 day 11 hour 32 minute addition)
※ This product has already proved to be sold. I am sorry but I will please, as he does not bid. Excuse me.

He was selling my cel. I know because I saved the picture when I bought it. The two pictures are exactly the same. At first I thought it was a sequence mate until I checked my Robot Carnival image folder.

Since nobody won, does it mean I don't have to give it to them? :puzzled

I bid on one of his auctions (before I saw this thread), which ended this morning. I was outbid last night (thank goodness), but when I went to check the results this morning, all bids had been cancelled with a message attached to the listing, which said that the item was unavailable, and not to bid.

This one sold for $1,878. Very cool looking cel, but chances are whoever bought it got burned.
