I reckon between $1000-$1500. Good luck to whoever is going for it, I don't think the Japanese will let it go without a good fight!!

I am thinking about bidding too, but I know now that I won't win.

For some reason I just can't get him out of my mind, and feel like I have to try :? .

:topic
If I were to know nothing about DBZ, I would put my money on the Trunks cel because this SS2 is just mad. But..... I do know something about DBZ and therefore that does influence my thinking...
Interesting you say that Soda... Out of all my cels.. My friends and Family (most don't know DBZ) almost always comment on my Goku flying cel - in the sunset...
My cheapest cell - and everyone comments... I love the pretty sunset... :O he he he

FYI: if animechaos wins only Nick and the winning bidder will know how high it actually went. They use the same ID for all bids and they don't have a first come first serve list like celga. For example, if it ends at 100,000 and animechaos wins it could actually be higher because of internal bidding wars since multiple people use the same ID. Does that make sense?

So do they charge whatever the internal bidding went for regardless of how much they actually win the auction for?

Yes. If someone has already placed a bid of 130,00 yen through animechaos and then I come in and place a bid with animechaos of 150,00 and that in fact is the winning bid then the final win price is just a bit over 130,000 yen (whatever the increment is at that level). They then would charge me that price even though the winning bid on YJ was below that amount. Does that make sense?

After reading it a couple of times, yes it makes sense. Thanks!
I don't know whether or not that is cheeky or just good business sense, very different to Celga though.

FYI: the seller added new text to the auction mainly regarding the high bid so far and something about using registered mail. The one thing that did catch my eye was this though:

"Access, watch list addition, and the many bid which exceed 1000 cases it is grateful truly."

As a person that has sold on YJ, I know that you can keep track of how many people have added your auction it to their watchlists and I read that sentence of his to say that over 1000 people have added it to their watchlist? Is that what other people get from the interpretation? If so, this is gonna set a record!

Guess I should have put a poll question as to whether it would go higher than $3000. I wanted so bad to bid $4000 because I knew I could just charge it to VISA.....but oh man would that make things hell. I came so close. I bid 402,000yen. It closed at 403,000. :jaw I can't believe it. Just incredible.

Well that was exciting!
403,000 Yen - My gosh... that is high - but I don't recognise the winner :(
I thought it might go for around that price...

I am still sure it came from the crying sequence... perhaps that's why it went so high - I saw you bid GK... but that last random person bid late and high - which was scary SOOOOO much money -

I wonder if it was a Japanese bidder. I always had in the back of my mind that someone from Japan would come in and get that. Nice try GK. Too bad you did not win. :O

That was unbe-freakin-lievable! How exciting! My condolences to everyone who wanted it. I was hoping you'd put in a bid, GK, toward the end. But that was waaaaaay out of my league.
