We've all seen them...those cels that crop up during the daily scan of yahoo japan that are so bizarre you really wonder who was smoking what when they were created. I thought it may be interesting to share some of those gems of hilarity with the board

Those cels are from the Power Stone anime, based off of a Capcom video game for the Sega Dreamcast. It's actually kind of funny--the character in the first cel (I forget his name) normally has dark hair. When you collect the 3 power gems in the game, he goes "Super Saiyan" and temporarily powers up.

It's a great game--especially for a group of 4 people.

I've seen this cel at YJ for a long time and I have no idea what they are doing in it. It looks like the woman is sucking something off the girls forehead:

I agree, but if you look closely, the woman has a glove in her teeth. I imagine she used her teeth to take it off so that she could check to see if the child's head was okay.

It's been relisted a lot over the last 5 or 6 months and it confuses me every time! Any ideas?

I always thought that it was like a two way mirror or something and someone was on the other side. Or maybe I'm thinking too much about that Countdown scene.

If you're an evil overlord who wants to get some inter-dimentional pussy, but a little short on cash, why bother opening a gate any bigger than needed? Send a henchman over to provide leverage if needed.

At least, those are my thoughts about that cel.

Thanks for the explanation Zag! That is a classic cel.

I've wanted to see that anime for some time, but there doesn't seem to be an easy way of seeing it these days.
