ANY GUESSES at all will be very very appreciated. Even if something crosses your mind and then you say "no, that's not it"...that thought might help me find it.

An off-the-wall guess would be that it's from a hentai. The nondescript guy next to the beautifully detailed girl just seems, to me, to be rather like hentai. But I honestly have no idea.

I was thinking maybe it was...but it seems like a sweet scene to me...and I don't recall seeing much sweet stuff in hentai.
However, I think you've made a really good point.
I'll have to go back and watch some more older hentai.

Unfortunately the art style doesn't look similar to anything I know of at all.

This is where that general Rubberslug "Unknown" cel contribution section would come in real handy.

Hope you are able to figure out where it's from.

I forgot to answer your posted question.

I don't get very frustrated about my unknown cels. I think I only have two cels that I've ever bought that were unknowns (2 cels out of 292). They're still unknown, but it's no big thing to me. I try to stick to buying cels from shows that I've already seen. This has burned me a bunch of times when I've found that I should have collected from them earlier. But I've found that I'm less likely to feel like selling off my cels when I know how much I like the show first before buying from it.

I 100% agree about RS having an unknown section. People like Zag and I would have a blast!!

My luck is pretty bad...after things dissapear off ebay is when it finally clicks! I identified 2 backgrounds last week as Magical Twilight...and then a couple months ago I idnetified an Armitage background....BUT ALL AFTER THEY WERE GONE! Now I can't find them at all

Sorry about the little rant. Just a little frustrated.

Hmm...I don't have both on them on my website, but here is the one I asked about here in November:

I bought this pan cel from the Mandarake store in Torrance a long time ago, but have never found out where it came from. The artwork looks to me like it's from Detective Conan:

The other unknown cel I have I haven't scanned because it's a pan cel and it's too way big for my scanner. The only picture I have of it at all is on the bottom edge of my Beta album picture:

It's the large pan cel lower left corner (I don't expect you to be able to identify it from that

That "purple haired woman" cel of yours I looked up Geobreeders about a month or two ago and the cel wasn't from it. There's a character that looks a like her, but it definitely wasn't her. I tried to find my Debutante Detective Corps tape since I had watched that anime about five months ago, but apparently I erased the tape.

Your "Nude Angel" and "Sexy Pink Haired Woman cels look familiar, but I can't place them. I bet those "hentai" experts at AnimeOnDVD Forum would probably know where they're from. I'm not good at identifying cels unless they really hit me over the head.

I've actually tried to ID your wedding banquet cel before...I broke out some old movies and watched just with the intention of finding your cel. Obviously without luck

As for your other one...is she holding an umbrella? You really should stick a pic of that up somewhere...it looks like an *easily* identifiable piece because it has such a beautiful background.

LOL thanks for the compliment on the ID skills! I wouldn't be able to ID so much if I didn't watch so many movies!

I used to have a photo-memory...but now that the years keep adding on, stuff sticks less and less. Curse of age.

I broke out my Geobreeders after you mentioned it before (via email?) and you're right...it's not Geobreeders. I still can't find my debutante detectives tape anywhere...I'm sure my neice borrowed it an never returned it (she's done that to a few films, now). My brother said I can come over any time and go through her boxes and boxes of movies and books to search for my stuff. I'm dreading it.

Boy...that sounded dreary. No, she's not dead...I just don't want to make the trip to go through the boxes.

How do I find the AnimeOnDVD forum? Sounds like someplace I'd enjoy!

good eye! It does remind me of Cat's Eye now that you say it...but isn't Cat's Eye a newer show? I've only seen cels on YHJ...definately stuff I like though.

Anyone know if this was released in the US and where to find a copy?!?

Normally I only read the Region 1 (North America) News, the Region 2 (Japan) News and General Anime Discussion sections over there. If you decide to ask someone directly instead of posting about it, I'd ask a guy named "Gatts". He's the moderator of the General Anime Discussion section. He's the resident "hentai" anime expert and everyone is in awe of his knowledge. lol

It looks like it almost comes from one of the Isaku adult anime series. I would say that she looks like one of the girls from it except that her character normally wears glasses. Too bad it's such a closeup. It makes it hard to identify. I've never watched the Isaku series all the way through so I'm not real knowledgable about the scenes in it. I kind of doubt it's from another Pink Pineapple anime since I went through their website DVD listing today.

Guess I won't be posting my other unknown cel since the drivers for my fuzzy digital don't work under XP.

I took it out the other night...and I noticed the sketch is marked APP.
