Double for your Cel

If someone paid you double of what you paid for your favorite cel.......would you take it?

I personally wouldnt take the money and i would keep the cel.
I love my favorite cel too much.

Haha, for my favorite cel? No, I wouldn't take the money. But for selling any cel, I don't think about what I paid for it. I'll only sell it if it's worth it to me.

It this point I would say "no".
To me, if you are willing to sell your favourite cel at just twice the price, it could hardly have been you're favourite cel.
(I am of course talking here in a normal (financial / emotional) situation.
Although it is quite hard to put an amount of money on a favourite cel, a 400% profit margin seems more understandable.
(hmm, apparently it isn't quite that hard to price a cel. willing to sel it is a different thing of course.)

If someone offered me double on a cel I now consider to be "not as interesting anymore", I'd go for it in a heart beat.

Double??? Nahhh....
Let's take one of my favourite cels for example....my SSJ Gohan Kamehame cel from the movie "Return of Brolly". I actually don't remember how much i paid for it, but i'm sure it was less than $1000. However, in order for someone to pull that away from me then they would have to make an offer in the $3500 range and even then i would really have to think about it

Sooo...the answer to your question would be.....no

I wouldn't, either. And, I'm currently totally broke right now, thanks to "being bad" at the Museum sale, plus a recent Original Anime Arts purchase --- eeek!

Actually, when I think about my absolute, very favorite cel out of my collection ... I'm not sure I would sell it at any price. I hate to say a definite I would "never" sell it, because there are some situations in which I could foresee it occurring, like a family financial crisis, etc. But, it would take a lot to get me to sell it, and I would want more than double.

There are several cels in my collection that I wouldn't sell for double what I paid, just because one circumstance or another makes them very precious to me. Now, if it was a cel, as Gabe said, that was "not so interesting" any longer, I would take double what I paid in a second. I agree, too, with the others who said that, when selling cels, they don't look at the price they paid so much as what the cel is worth to them. I tend to do that, too. I haven't had to sell very many of my cels, but being able to get what I want for them makes parting a little less painful.

favorite was)

Some of my others, I'd definitely sell if I was offered double what I paid for
them.

Even if they offered triple the original price, I doubt I would sell my favorites. There is simply too much emotional attachment. Some of my other cels I would not hesitate to sell for 2x

It'd have to be quadruple what I paid for my favorite cel, and even then it would take some serious thought.

I voted yes, simply because you never know when a hard time will hit you. Plus, money pays the bills. Cels don't. I'm not overly attached to most of my cels, so if someone offered me even $20.00 over what I paid, I might consider it. It just all depends.
