I honestly don't think I'll ever stop collecting cels. Slow down maybe, but never stop. It's taken many years and thousands of dollars of hobbie searching to realize that anime cels are for me and always will be.

I won't, I have heard alot of people say "I will never quit!" two weeks later "All my cels are for sale, I lost intest." (I'm not pointing anyone out, or referring to anyone, I have just heard alot of people say it in the time I have been collecting.) When I get into something, I think it through for a long time, I thought about what I would do in different scenario's like going to college, not having money (happens more often then I like, haha) ect. and eventually, I will have to sell some off, but I wont quit.
Like elfie said, eventually, you will slow down, but I don't think I could quit, its too much of a fun hobby.
BTW, for all you guys and gals are never gonna quit...are you all having your cels buried with you when you die? like me with my marron? hahaha.
I can see the uprise in grave robbers in the next 80 years...

damn you and your marron, but I guess I got the next best thing with mine coming my way
, but I honestly dont think I will ever quite either, I will always have a cel, even if it is only 1 and the cheapest one I can find, its too fun, if I knew that I was gonna quit in 6 months, then I would sell them all now

I don't know...I've considered getting out of collecting a few times. I know for sure that I will have to slow down by the end of next year when college comes. Originally, I was planning on selling all of my cels just before I went to college...but after 2 years, I don't know if I can. At the same time, I often get disgusted with my obsession with material objects; then I remind myself of the artistic value, because I am more permitting of materialism when it comes to art.
I also get angry at the extreme amount of elitism that exists in cel collecting...the hierarchy. You either kiss someone's ass, or you fall into the dust. It's sickening at times. But I've also met a lot of great friends through this hobby, too. It's just so hard to look over the negative aspects of this hobby, sometimes ;_;
But...it's just so fun!
Anyway, I think for now I'll just collect slowly; I've already slowed down, as it is. Only buys cels that really catch me. We'll see where the future brings me.

I really don't know how long I will be collecting cels for
It is a pretty pricey hobbie as you all know and my other two hobbies
are just as pricey if not more. But I really love them all, there so addicting
and fun. If I always have money and good job then I can see myself
collecting cels as long as physically possible. Right know am really loving
the whole cel scene. And the people on this forum are some of the nicest
I have met
, I really don't have any reason to stop
And I love the title of Anime Geek, always knew i was one !!!

I don't think i'll ever stop collecting, and if I do, i'll still collect art. I just love the idea of owning a piece of the show and owning a piece of origional artwork. Sure it takes a lot of money, but you can't tell me you don't love what you pay for.
