1. Trust and Betrayal (Kenshin) - the art was stunning, the story made me cry like a baby, and for two or three days after watching it for the first time, I'm still not quite sure where I was or what I was doing, I was still so caught up in the whole thing. Images before my eyes, questions and possible answers running through my head. It is just powerfull juju, man.
Ditto. :) That was so eloquently put, I have nothing to add.

Other absolute favorites include Gravitation, Cowboy Bebop, and Martian Successor Nadesico (IMO a severely underrated show in this country :?)

Rurouni Kenshin is my top. Reasons: everything about the anime is good.
FMA is second but I don't know if it will stay there for long if Naruto has a good ending. I'd say Naruto's my third favorite right now.

I use to love DBZ and I still do love the series it will always have a place in my heart!

I love Neon Genesis Evangelion. It is my favorite by far.

The overall adventure of the series is just so dark with good comedic moments strewn in. Plot twist after plot twist kept me rivited and the sharp animation didn't hurt either.

I thought the series was terrible but I was wondering did you see the movie with the alternate ending? If so what happened?

I watched the english version so I think that's why I couldn't really get into the series.

my favorite show by far... is outlaw star. i know it's no the best animiated, or the best story... but eh. I love the characters, the story, action, humor. .. harry. >_> Prolly my favorite mostly b/c it was the first Anime I'd actually watched.

Anime movie wise... aye. to say favorite one is sooo limiting. If i had to make a top favorite, I would probably go with Jin Roh: the Wolf Brigade. I just absolutely love that movie. Each time I watch it I'll notice something else. though VHD:B, GITS, and anything Studio Ghibli... are among my favorites. :P

Yes, I owned a fansub about a year before it was released in the states.

But the final movie was not an alternate ending it was the ending ending. I don't know why but lots of people have the misconception that Death and Rebirth was an alternate ending.

The english release really was just as good (if not better) than the japanese release. Many reviews gave wonderful credidation to the voice talent involved because they did a 'better' job than the japanese crew.

Slayers of course to me is #1 and will continue to be for as long as I can. For many different reasons including personal reasons. For Non-Personal reasons, becuase it covers every type of story; action, adventure, comedy, fantasy, romance, horror, mystery all of that is combined in a very entertaining way. It's best just to sit back and let the storyline take you where they want to go. Trying to guess what'll happen next keeps you interested to find out what really happens.

The characters are well delevope and anyone can find a character that they like from it. Every character is different yet they may share traits or genes with another character. For me the best thing is the interaction between characters is so intriguing. They start off one way while starting adventures together but then as the story goes by their relationship becomes a strong anchor. Even when things are going out of control and things seem hopeless the fact that people who they care about their lives and happiness are worth fighting for and keeps them from giving up. I'd probably say more about this but it's 1:29 AM and I'm seeing a blurry screen. Gotta Go to bed :ZzZz:

Not to mention that Slayers has an odd sense of humor which matches with my odd tastes. Okay, so I lied about stop talking about it... deal with it :P If anyone wants to have a chat session about Slayers at any time I'm always open and willing to :^^:

My cat Seeley is a Sailor Moon fan, too!

I didn't anticipate on having a black female cat and a white male cat or I would have named them Luna and Artemis... oh well.

Those two sentences were as confusing as the entire series. :D
But don't get me wrong. I loved the series.

The Doctor : … and then, just to finish off, I’m going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky !
Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?
