Your too puny Gabe!! XD
It's the nature of the beast. Commuting by bicycle isn't convienent by any stretch of the imagination if you've not "converted". I too have 25-30 lbs of stuff in my backpack (don't forget that I tow my son sometimes too) and my commute by car would also take about 30 minutes. Did I mention that I need to take a shower when I get to campus? Nor have I mentioned getting caught in the rain, cycling in the extreme heat or in the cold of winter. Don't forget the pissed of drivers drivers or the increased appetite or the sore legs. blah blah blah... Nope, not convenient at all if you've not accepted the lifestyle. That's why I said in my first post that it's a change in lifestyle. You have to retool your thinking which is hard for many people to do in this instant age. What one person thinks as inconvienent, another person thinks of as a time to think, plan and enjoy being outside all while getting some exercise. It's also a great stress relief after a hard day. Oh... sex is a lot better too.Shampoo wrote:...this is just not convenient.
My father in law had a heart attack a few years ago and after he recovered he was advised to take up some sort of exercise so he took up cycling as he enjoyed it when he was a teenager.dbzmomma wrote:How about the excuse "I'm too OLD to ride 30 miles a day?" Would that work for you? LOL
lol... yeah, bike sex is something everyone should experience. It's great but you have to watch out for the chainrings! But then again, I don't need to buy a hummer. It sounds like you're a bit peeved about not being able to buy one.In_Gabriel_We_Trust wrote:I honestly have to say I admire Soda for his personal actions towards transport problems. (even though they seem to include having sex with bikes.)

Actually... unless I'm wrong, the US has among the lowest rates in the world.RahOtaku wrote:Why is GAS more expensive in Holland?
I thought the USA was supposed to be the most expensive?
Plus I think I already covered this earlier in this thread: The taxes they apply to the gas in Holland make the difference. If you take the tax out then it's about the same cost to the consumer.In_Gabriel_We_Trust wrote:Actually... unless I'm wrong, the US has among the lowest rates in the world.RahOtaku wrote:Why is GAS more expensive in Holland?
