Okay, I've sold a lot of stuff lately and I plan in selling even more in the next weeks.
I use taro boards for about all my cel shipments and now my stock is around -1 at the moment LOL... so I'm calling all betarians out there that have an overload of these awesome boards and want to send them my way. I'll pay postage and all.
So please help a fellow betarian . I will always be in your debt.

LOL ! Sure ! Altho I might not describe it as well as others on this board ^_~.
Taro board is THE cel shipping solution. It's an indestructible piece of cardboard meant to last through nuclear wars and tornados. It's so strong that it will resist even the most angry postmen.
It has been named after Anime Taro, which I believe is a predecessor of Anime Museum (smack me if I'm wrong, I wasn't collecting at the time).

LMAO! I loved how you describe it! Where can they be purchased from? Please dont tell me Japan only. >.<
We have a huge art store here called Pearl Paint, they have many types of boards and art supplies. There is an even larger location in China Town, NYC.
I would love to get my hands on some to keep on hand in case I sell any cels from my collection.
Actually, I really don't know where Stephen managed to get those wonderful boards... I myself got them over the months from the cel shipments I received... I would be really happy to find a place to buy them lol... but sadly I don't think it exists .

Awww, what a shame. I think, out of all the cel shipments I've received from Japan, I only received one of those boards. It seemed just as you described, rock solid and virtually indestructable. I wonder if you could email him and inquire about the boards. Maybe he could give you some info on where to purchase them. hmmm, but then shipping would probably be crazy for something like that.
Just used up my last Taro board to send something to Joost.
I dont think Taro boards are available anymore so it can be a lil
hard to find them.
For cels, i just use plexiglass or cel boxes Celga uses thou it does add some weight to it.

I found a new supplier, more expensive than before, But I trust that board so I will be sticking with it.
Did you know I spend around USD 4,000 to 4,500 per year on that stuff
