Kage Kara Mamoru 8 (okay - 5.3):
Boy...I wasn't aware that Airi was so wealthy. Where can I get a slide like that? :D This episode only confirmed what a lot of us were already thinking. :P

Shinigami no Ballad 1 (okay - 5.4):
A nice little story if somewhat predictable. I liked the imagery more than anything else. Judging from the comments on another board, it seems that quite a few people were disappointed with the first episode. I wasn't blown away by it either, but I'd like to see how the other episodes are first before saying that the series disappointed me.

I've played more of Crescendo (maybe about seven hours total now) and I've found four out of six of the female characters stories. They're decent stories, but I think I still like "Hourglass of Summer" better in many ways. Hourglass of Summer had much longer stories. The longer stories gave more time to build up the characters. The extra time made for more subtle relationship building over time. In Crescendo a lot of the story takes place in only the last five days leading up to High School graduation. Even though the characters knew the guy for a long time before those five days, the stories still end up feeling somewhat rushed.

Hourglass of Summer was such that it even made me like the teacher and the semi-helpless, naive, childish girl characters. And normally I never like those types of female characters in games. The teacher and Ai were pretty likeable by the time I got to the end of their stories. :)

I think I'd better start catching up on anime before the new season starts and I have even less time to do anything. :(

Magikano 8 (fair - 5.1):
Didn't get much into this one. It was a pretty crazy episode and I didn't laugh very much at it. I liked the ending part though. :P

Magikano 9 (okay - 5.4):
I enjoyed this episode. It was a lot of fun and had nice action scenes. I wonder how this series will end? I'm sure it depends on how likely another season might be produced. The episode preview for next week looks nutty. :^^:

Magikano 10 (okay - 5.4):
I got a lot of laughs out of this one. The storyline was pretty ecchi. It reminded me of something that a Girls Bravo episode would have. :D

Shakugan no Shana 22 (decent/fairly good - 5.7):
I liked the moodiness of it and of course...the background music. This was mostly a setup for episode 23. Only two episodes to go. :(

Tsuki Kagerou 1-3 (okay - 5.4):
This is the first adult anime I've decently liked for quite awhile. But it required that the main guy act stupid in the last episode. I know if he didn't act that way all the later dramatic stuff at the end wouldn't have happened, but it was still a dumb act nonetheless. The animation was "okay". It could have been better, but at least it was very colorful. The music was above average for an adult anime. The female characters looked too young however. :?

I can't tell if this came from a game or not, but I would think that's the case. I'd probably place "Tsuki Kagerou" around 26th to 32nd on my all-time favorite adult anime list. This just means I found it noteworthy. If I were to compare it to my favorite NON-adult anime, it wouldn't even be worth a passing thought.

Fate/stay night 10 (decent 5.6):
There wasn't as much comedy in this episode as the episode preview for last week made me think. That was a funny image to use as a "sponsor screen". :D Illya was cute, but I could already see that from viewing all the Illya images floating around the net. Now I'm wondering what she said. I'm waiting for the blogger update synopsis for this episode.

This anime blogger (Random Curiousity) seems to watch all the anime I do (BEWARE SPOILER IMAGES FOR SEVERAL ANIME INCLUDING Fate/stay night, REC, Mai Otome, Kashimasi, Shakugan no Shana, Magikano, Jigoku Shoujo, Bleach, Canvas 2, Angel Heart, Shinigami no Ballad, Kage Kara Mamoru, Blood +, etc.):
http://randomc.animeblogger.net/

It's very handy if you're wondering how certain anime are doing right now or how certain anime ended. To do all that takes a LOT of time and work. 8O

Oh... fantabulous series. I thoroughly loved it. Now, though, having read your comments, I'm going to have to go back and look at it again. :) Not that I care to do it duct-taped to a chair, mind you, but I want to look for the details I missed the first time.

**********

What I just watched was Jigoku Shojou 12. The deeper into this series we go, the more I like it. Ai (the Hell Girl herself) asks a really intriguing question about Hell that resolved some of my earlier doubts about how repetitive the first few episodes were. Yes, they were that way for a reason :)

And the latest episode of Bread Boy had me literally snorting and hooting the other night. For awhile there I was afraid this show was going to fall under its own weight (like a souffle? yuk yuk yuk)... but the last couple have had me giggling like a madwoman again.

Except... I miss Pierrot! *sniff*

It is once again Eyeshield 21-time as the series gets posted in what seems to be batches of about five to six every couple of weeks. YA-HA !

I haven't had time to watch much this week. :(

Kage Kara Mamoru 9 (okay/fair - 5.2):
This episode was just a bit too strange for me with the aliens and all. Looks like episode ten might have a lot of non-humans in it too. **sigh** Just seven days after I started looking for stuff from it, it starts to turn weird on me. :?

Shakugan no Shana 23 (fairly good - 6.0):
I enjoyed this one. I didn't even think about the passage of time until I got to the end and then I realized that I couldn't see the ending. :bwall

Fate/stay night 11 (fairly good - 5.9):
Had me on the edge of my seat. I just wish more butt kicking was administered, but whatever. :D

Magikano 11 (okay/decent - 5.5):
Ah...the old "Christmas-Eve-with-the-one-you care-about" episode. I'm always a sucker for those. :P Decent funny and somewhat serious scenes. It also dropped more hints about the main plotline. Looks like said plotline will roll out full force in the next episode (the second to last episode).

I recently saw My Neighbor Totoro for the first time, and I have to say I absolutely adored it! It was such a simple film, plot-wise. But, I think that was one of the things that made it such a beautiful movie.

I have been watching Yakitate Japan and I'm up to ep 50. There have been a few episodes you want to say, "Just get on with it!" but overall it is one of the funniest animes I have seen. There have been several episodes my daughter just gives me a strange look as I'm watching and laughing at it. I tried to get her to watch it with me....but no luck this time.

I also finished Peacemaker. I like the series but
didn't like the way Suzu ended up. I did like the way that Susumu ended up though....he actually acted human at the end
Also I'm continuing the Saiyuki saga and now watching Saiyuki Reloaded.

And last not surely not least...I finally got to watch Howl's Moving Castle. I so wish I would have been able to see it at the theater. Last summer on a Sunday we realized it was showing in Sacramento and were going to make the 2.5 hour drive *one-way* the following weekend. It was no longer showing by the next Saturday....it was so disappointing.

I've finallly gotten around to watching some Cowboy Bebop. So far I've seen 1 - 8. Are all episodes so tragic ?

I've had more time since breaking my seven day in a row work schedule X| :

Dai Mahou Touge 1-2 (okay/fair - 5.2):
This sort of felt like a cross between Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan and Excel Saga. The opening was similar to Dokuro-chan's. It was a pretty nutty anime, but unfortunately it wasn't much my type of humor. I give them credit for having the craziest use of (SEIYUU SPOILER)'s voice though. :D

Kage Kara Mamoru 10 (okay/fair - 5.2):
Didn't get too much into this one either. It felt rather predictable and didn't really add anything. The next episode looks like it might have something to add though. I think the last two episodes will air together one after the other.

Shinigami no Ballad 2 (decent/fairly good - 5.7):
I liked this episode a lot more than the first. I thought it was a nice little story and much less predictable than the first. The story worked well despite being only twenty one minutes long. I greatly sympathize with the guy's position. :l

Kyo no Go no Ni OVA 1 of 2 (okay - 5.4):
http://www.animenfo.com/animetitle,3646 ... no_ni.html
Hmm...ecchi jokes involving fifth graders. :? The anime is presented in comic-panel-like fashion. A skit lasts for several minutes and then there's another. I thought it was okay. The skits were mostly "slice-of-life" although all the skits seemed to involve SOME ecchiness.

Magikano 12 (okay/decent - 5.5):
Seiyuu Natsuko Kuwatani sounded a lot more like Suigintou than Suiseiseki in this episode (but she did use her "high voice" too :D ). I thought this episode was alright. It looks like we'll have at least a "somewhat" decent ending for this anime in the next episode.

Shakugan no Shana 24 (decent/fairly good - 5.7):
I thought it was a decent ending for the TV series. But I know a lot of people won't like it too much.

Shinigami no Ballad 3 (okay - 5.4):
I thought I was going to like this episode much more than I did because of all the people out there raving about it. I ended up liking it much less than the last episode. I liked the atmosphere though.

Shinigami no Ballad 4 (okay - 5.4):
The animation remains decent, but since the story pattern is becoming more apparent there are less surprises for me as the series goes on. I find the episodes enjoyable, but a couple days after I see them, I don't have much reason to think about them anymore. So overall this series basically goes in one ear and out the other with very little being left behind. :P Sometimes the soundtrack is too "loud" and distracting and some scenes feel corny because of it.

Fate/stay night 12 (decent/fairly good - 5.7):
Not much to say here. I already knew about some of this stuff. I'm most curious about what that ending part showing [...spoiler...] meant.

Ar Tonelico OVA (okay/decent - 5.5):
(game link - http://www.gamestats.com/objects/770/770489/ )
I like those things in Orlica's hair. :D They make her look somewhat ethereal. If this were a TV series I could watch this anime just for her like I watched Erementar Gerad mainly to see what would happen to Ren. :P Her seiyuu sounds familiar, but I can't quite place her. From the game's description, Ar Tonelico sounds like a bishoujo RPG.

EDIT:

Apparently Kyoto animation (the makers of the AIR TV series) is going to make another Kanon TV series. Supposedly it's going to AIR this Fall. This is good news, but I wonder if the story structure will be as good as the first series. I found the first series very moving and I liked the story structure a lot. It was only the animation that I didn't care for.

Besides "Rameses: Wrath of God or Man" on National Geographic, research between Egyptology and linking passages in the Bible, I actually got to watch something new to me--"Princess Tutu" and "Kaliedo Star" on Anime Network On Demand.

I havent watched anime in a while so I am not sure if these are good shows or not^^. I did enjoy the animation from both; in addition, Tutu seems to have a dark side to its whimiscalness.

No, some are just plain weird. :P

Although it certainly doesn't make you feel like life is a happy thing, it's one of my favorites, and Spike is just too cool. 8)

I just finished:

Gankutsuou episode 3
(better late than never...)

Mushishi episode 20
The animation from this series is just amazing. It's very difficult to take a series like this with such little action and make it interesting to watch, but they did it and they did it BEAUTIFULLY. Ginko rocks.
But gaah, production art=bloody expensive. X|

Kage Kara Mamoru 11-12 (ep.11 decent/fairly good 5.7, ep. 12 decent - 5.6):
MINOR SPOILERS FOR ENDING:
I liked the eleventh episode. It was the type of cute, sad, sentimental story that I like. The final twelfth episode I enjoyed for the most part (there was one part I didn't like). Overall I liked this series. I didn't think it was great, but it was a decent time passer (aliens and molemen excepted).
My first thoughts on seeing the Kanon (2006) promo:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey! That Kanon (2006) promo looked pretty cool. I thought the original Kanon's story was moving in and of itself, but to have the animation look THAT good could potentially make the story even more powerful. 8O This could turn out pretty awesome if done right. 8O And my God, they've included the bunny ears! A number of people were quite disappointed with the lack of bunny ears in the first Kanon anime. Man...check out Yuiichi! He looks like a cool guy now. :P I liked Yuiichi. He was like the two male protagonists in AIR (Yukito and Ryuya). He liked teasing the female characters and he wasn't Generic Nice Guy Male Lead (TM).

Holy crap! It looks like they're going to include Makoto's deleted scene from the first version too. That is going to make her story even sadder. :l It's like they're fixing everything that disappointed the fans of the game about the first anime. I can't believe it. :puzzled
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Magikano 13 (decent - 5.6):
It was a decent ending I thought. Lots of action, but...I didn't like everything about that ending. X|

Eien no Aseria OVA 2 (okay - 5.3):
I think the animation of the second episode is better than the first. For an OVA though, I still don't think the animation looks that good. There's must be at least three episodes to this, but I can't find any information on the series length.

Fate/stay night 13 (okay/decent - 5.5):
MINOR SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 13:
This was another setup episode. It wasn't terribly exciting, but at least it wasn't Bleach filler. X| The fun will come next week.

KIBA promo - Now I feel LESS like seeing this than I did earlier. :D

Rakugo Tennyo Oyui 12 (okay - 5.3):
MINOR SPOILERS FOR ENDING & MAGIKANO/KAGE KARA MAMORU ENDINGS:
This is my least favorite final episode from all the final episodes I've seen recently (Shakugan no Shana, Kage Kara Mamoru, Magikano and Canvas 2). It lacked the drama and emotional content that the other ones had. This series never took itself too seriously. Even Magikano and Kage Kara Mamoru had more dramatic endings. On the other hand, Rakugo Tennyo Oyui had a CONCLUSIVE ending and I always appreciate when anime makers are able to produce those endings in anime. :) Do rights holders NOT want to have a conclusive ending because they feel that people wouldn't feel like reading the manga as much?
The new anime season begins Saturday, but I don't think there's anything I want to see the first two days (April 1st or 2nd) except for "Soul Link" and "Yoshinaga-san chi no Gargoyle". :shrug

Forgive me for not editing, but I'm too lazy to do it after losing my entire post yesterday. I try to never talk about anime as if I'm being objective about it. If I don't like an anime it's only because it doesn't suit my taste. I'm not one of those people who thinks an anime is garbage because I don't like it: :)

Soul Link 1 (okay - 5.3):
Since this anime is based off a Navel game like Shuffle! I'm wondering if the same one or two game character designers worked on this also. It sure looks like it. Sometimes Nao gives me flashbacks of Asa's younger sister (Shuffle!). I thought the episode was "okay", but it was kind of disappointing to me. First of all the animation budget is nowhere near as high as Shuffle's was. It's not a cheap budget, but it's only an "average" TV series budget. So even though the game's character designs looked good, the anime makers weren't able to take advantage of them as much as they could.

I'm disappointed that the main character's voice sounds so wimpy and several scenes in there were pretty cliched. When I see BIG cliched scenes it makes me think that the writers weren't clever enough to come up with anything else to joke about.

Things I did like:

1. Koyasu Takehito's appearance. When you hear his voice, you can usually guess what kind of character he's going to be playing. :D

2. Nao looked kinda nice there at the end. The animation for her part at the end was well done.

Overall: I'm going to set my sights lower for this show. I'll still watch it, but I won't expect anything special from it anymore. I'll get my "special" requirements from another series instead. :P

Suzumiya Haruhi no Yutsu 1 (mediocre - 4.0):
http://www.haruhi.tv/
http://www.animenfo.com/animetitle,3508 ... aruhi.html
Wow...I didn't care for this at all. This just isn't for me whatsoever. Some of the posters I've read really love it. You just need a sense of humor that's completely the opposite of mine. Someone compared this to Monty Python. I can see some comparisons. This gave me that "What the hell is going on" feeling. I thought I had gotten the wrong anime. The opening song is sung intentionally bad. Two of the seiyuu sound like they were in Shuffle!

The amateur home video parody might end up being much loved by many, but I get motion sickness (headache and feeling queasy) when the camera is moving around like that (like the "Friday Night Lights" movie I seen in the theater). Some scenes reminded me of Otaku no Video. I'm sure there's clever writing in there, but I'm going to be watching something else. :?

Yoshinaga-san chi no Gargoyle 1 (watching it raw - okay/fair - 5.2):
http://www.garkun.com/
http://www.animenfo.com/animetitle,3549 ... san_c.html
The opening song reminds me of the anime openings I used to hear all the time back in 1995-1996. This is a hard anime to watch raw because there's so much dialog in it. It seems to involve a talking gargoyle statue that can move about on it's own. The talking of the gargoyle is the center of many of the jokes. The way it speaks reminds me of the dry humor that was employed by that leopard sidekick of Mahoro's and the deadpan talking helmet in Sadamitsu. :D

I'm going to have to read subtitles to see how much I like this. At this point I feel it's "okay", but not "good" enough to be a "regular watch" yet.

Utawarerumono 1 (okay - 5.4):
http://www.utaware.net/
http://www.animenfo.com/animetitle,1731 ... _mono.html
The animation for Utawarerumono is how I was hoping that Soul Link was going to look like. Eruru is awfully cute. :) For awhile I actually thought that her seiyuu was voiced by Ayako Kawasumi, but it turned out to be Ryoka Yuzuki. Not too much happened in this episode. It was mostly an introduction to the fantasy world they live in, but I liked it enough to make this my first "regular watch" of the season.

And yeah...it was based off a game. I'm not sure how much romantic elements were in the game, but I'm pretty sure it had some. :D

Strawberry Panic 1 (okay - 5.3):
http://www.strawberrypanic.com/
http://www.animenfo.com/animetitle,3634 ... _pani.html
The first episode of Strawberry Panic felt like the beginning of Maria-sama and the beginning of Kannaduki no Miko mixed together. But of course Maria-sama is shoujo. Strawberry Panic is shounen/seinen, so the shoujo-ai elements are more obvious in it. The laidback violin background music reminds me of the violin music in the easygoing scenes of Kagihime.

Strawberry Panic takes place at a Catholic girl's school and has a large cast just like Maria-sama, but has a couple first episode story situations of Kannaduki no Miko. I watched the first ?five episodes Maria-sama and stopped after that because it wasn't quite interesting enough to me to continue watching it. I'll see if Strawberry Panic will be the same way. How much I like this show will depend on how much I like the characters and how much I like the stories involving them. This is not the type of anime I watch for the action scenes. :D

Girl's High School Students 1 (okay/fair- 5.2):
http://www.girls-high.net/
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclo ... hp?id=6024
This anime has the most in-your-face fanservice that I ever recall seeing in a regular-school-life non-adult anime. :? The jokes seemed "okay". They didn't seem too clever or funny to me. The preview for the next episode gives me bad feelings about where this series is heading. I think I'm only going to watch one episode of this. There are just too many other shows out there this season for me to be watching this particular one.

Highlights:

1. Mamiko Noto's voice. :)
2. It was kind neat how the anime's characters looked like KITE/Mezzo characters in the closing sequence.

I skimmed through KIBA 1, but it didn't seem interesting enough for me to see any of it. **shrugs**

School Rumble second term 1 (fair - 5.1):
I've always wanted to get into this series, but I've never been able to. Sadly most of the humor just isn't that funny to me. Oh well. What can I say? I know I'm in the minority on this seres, but there's nothing that I can I do. :(

Poka Poka Mori no Rascal 1 (poor - 3.0):Okay...sorry. It's impossible for me to watch this. It's only three and a half minutes long, but it's about cute super-deformed animals talking to each other. :)

Love Get-Chu ~Miracle Seiyuu Hakusho~ - 01 (mediocre - 4.2):
http://galgame.jp/anime.html
http://www.animenfo.com/animetitle,3523 ... u___m.html
This is another anime about seiyuu. My dislike of performance and creative arts subject matter in anime continues. I won't be watching any more of this because I have no interest in the subject matter and the non-performance story segments are not involving enough for me to overcome my dislike of the genre. :P

Makai Senki Disgaea 1 (fair - 5.1):
Supposedly this anime is not copying how the beginning of the game went and fans of the game are disappointed by the first episode. Not knowing anything about the game itself, all I can say is I liked the first half of this. I was ready to make it a regular watch, but then the second half ruined it for me. Now I'm not even sure if I'm going to watch the next episode. I don't think the first episode was terribly great. :(

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni 1 (fair - 5.1):
http://www.oyashirosama.com/web/
http://www.animenfo.com/animetitle,3458 ... no_na.html
I didn't like this episode too much either. This is supposed to be a long series though so I'll hold out for more episodes before dropping it.

The good points I got from episode:

1. I love cute girls that carry cleavers. Bwaa Haa Haa!! :evilblk :evilblk
2. Eventually this series is going to turn dark so the tone is not going to be the same as this episode.

The bad points:

1. In this episode ALL the girls are HAPPY and GENKI. Happy and genki girl's are just about never my favorite characters from a game.
2. This episode was fairly wacky. I know they're doing this to offset the later dark tone, but I still didn't enjoy it.
3. The beginning part apparently had to be censored due to violence.

Gintama 1 (mediocre - 4.0):
http://www.sunrise-inc.co.jp/gintama/
http://www.animenfo.com/animetitle,3663 ... ntama.html
This series in some ways reminds me of UFO Princess Valkyrie. That's because in this anime after the aliens arrived during the Japanese Edo period you have a mix of the futuristic and primitive technologies. You also have non-human "creatures" mingling with regular human beings. So in effect anything goes plotwise. It's a real jumbled mess, but Gintama has a lot of fun with it. One guy sports a yellow afro while a Shinsen Gumi member uses a bazooka. People run around in Edo clothing brandishing their swords while flying cars and skyscrapers hit the city view.

I'm not going to watch anymore of this because it's just too weird, wacky and unfunny for me. None of the characters caught my eye whatsoever. :(

.hack//Roots 1 (okay - 5.4):
http://www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/anime/hack_roots/

This was decently interesting to me if a bit slow for a first episode. As with the other ".hack" series I've seen, I liked the character designs. This will be only my fourth "regular" watch so far out of the twelve anime I've seen so far.

Simoun 1 (okay/fair - 5.2):

The air battle scenes were well done and the character designs are pretty detailed. The girl's EYES are amazing. On the other hand, I usually don't finish watching anime stories involving war AND military themes. I'll see how it goes.

Inukami! 1 (okay/fair - 5.2):

More dog girl anime. :D This doesn't really remind me of anything, but if I was FORCED to choose I would say it slightly makes me think of a cross between Ghost Sweeper Mikami and Urusei Yatsura. The main guy has ecchi on the brain and the female lead acts a bit like a mischievous sprite at times (hence the Urusei Yatsura comparison). They fight "spiritual" villains. The animation quality is above average for a "comedic" TV anime series. Many of the jokes are on the ecchi/suggestive/dirty side. I will probably keep watching this for now. I don't think it's great, but like Magikano, it's amusing enough for me to keep watching.

Witchblade 1 (okay - 5.4):

Looks like this is going to be one of the popular shows of the season. Gonzo worked on this. It made me think a bit of "Kurau: Phantom Memory" since I'm completely unfamiliar with the Witchblade universe. I'll see how long I'll keep watching it. It's not bad, but it's not the type of anime I usually watch these days. :)

Magipoka (Renkin San Kyu Magical? Pokaan) 1 (mediocre - 4.1):
http://www.magipoka.com/top.html
http://www.animenfo.com/animetitle,3592 ... _kyu_.html
Four "supernatural" young girls doing a bunch of crazy, wacky magical/vampire stuff with a couple pantsu jokes thrown in. Not my kind of humor. :?

Spider Riders 1 (mediocre - 3.8 ) :

This is about what I expected since this was based off a children's book series. It's the type of anime that is shown on Saturday mornings. But I thought I would check it out just for the heck of it.

I skimmed through Princess Princess 1. From what I heard the manga hardly had any shounen ai in it while the anime is trying to emphsize bishounen and add shounen ai. From what I seen, the anime did appear quite funny (but supposedly a lot less funny than the manga). But I'm not going to be watching this since the anime version is aimed more at fangirls than me. :D

Ray 1 (so-so - 4.8 ) :

This appears to be a spinoff of Blackjack. It's not bad. It's just that didn't interest me very much. :D

So to summarize:

1. Utawarerumono 1 (okay - 5.4) - Not bad so far. Eruru is cute.
2. .hack//Roots 1 (okay - 5.4) - Looks like it has upside. :)
3. Witchblade 1 (okay - 5.4): I like it, but I'm not into the genre too much.
4. Soul Link 1 (okay - 5.3) - Disappointing, but I'll still watch it.
5. Strawberry Panic 1 (okay - 5.3) - Not sure how long I'll be watching this.
6. Inukami! 1 (okay/fair - 5.2): "Dirty" humor. Not too great, but I'll watch it for now.
7. Yoshinaga-san chi no Gargoyle 1 (watching it raw - okay/fair - 5.2) - Kind of fun. Maybe.
8. Simoun 1 (okay/fair - 5.2) - Not bad, but I'm still iffy on it.
9. Girl's High School Students 1 (okay/fair- 5.2) - Loads of fanservice. Not much into the humor.
10. School Rumble second term 1 (fair - 5.1) - Just can't get into it. Gomen. :(
11. Makai Senki Disgaea 1 (fair - 5.1) - Disappointing first episode for many - including me.
12. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni 1 (fair - 5.1) - I expect to like this more later when the tone turn dark (I hope).
13. Princess Princess 1 (fair - 5.0) - Not bad, but too bishounen for me. :)
14. Ray (so-so - 4.8 ) - Not interested in the story.
15. Love Get-Chu ~Miracle Seiyuu Hakusho~ - 01 (mediocre - 4.2) - Not into "performance" anime. :^^:
16. Magipoka (Renkin San Kyu Magical? Pokaan) 1 (mediocre - 4.1): Not my kind of wacky humor.
17. Gintama 1 (mediocre - 4.0) - Not into this everything-goes anime. :?
18. Suzumiya Haruhi no Yutsu 1 (mediocre - 4.0) - I'm not into this type of humor.
19. Spider Riders 1 (mediocre - 3.8 )

That's twenty anime down (counting Kiba, but not counting Poka Poka Mori no Rascal) and only thirty four to go.

Keropi, bless you for doing all that work. I see a whole season of things I can wait on until I get through the last 20 years' worth of anime first ;)

My most recent watch: Bleach 73-74.

Let me just say this: Worst...episode...ever. There were parts of it I liked, actually, but just when I thought it was going to be tolerable, there was a sequence that looked as though someone from Cartoon Network had been hired to draw Ichigo. (WTF, Over? He doesn't look like THAT..) Fortunately it was only one sequence but wow, how jarring!

And then, as I'm enjoying Ishida getting some air time, they throw in the single most cliched dialogue exchange I have heard since I gave up soap operas.

Overall rating: :flushie

Please let us get back to the real story sooooooon....

I just had to check out Suzumiya Haruhi no Yutsu 1 after your description Keropi, because even though it wasn't your kind of series, I suspected it might be something we would like here. Man, it was WHACKED! I have to say, I really laughed! I can see how not everyone would like it, and I have no idea what they are going to do with the rest of the series, but I'm going to have to see a few episodes to see how in heck where they are going to take this next.

I have not found Gintama or Witchblade yet on the torrent sites I frequent, but hope I can find them soon as those are 2 that I am curious about.

I have downloaded Kiba and Gakuen Heaven, but have only had time to skim them. Kiba (which is a Shounin series) , and Gakuen Heaven (Shounin Ai all the way, with a small resemblance, at least from a quick look, to Kyo Kara Mayo.) Kiba I promised to watch with my daughter when she's off next week. I'll have to actually watch Gakuen Heaven during a coffee break today, but it appeared pretty silly, abeit with many cute guys.
