Yami No Matsuei - Do production sketches exist?

Post by hyaku1 »

I think the closest thing I've ever seen is a few copies and some setti sets. Has anyone seen any original production sketches at all? Or reproduction cels for that matter?
Is the studio that made it one that usually releases production materials or not? I have no idea so I was hoping someone had some info.
Thanks!

I also haven't seen any. Have only managed to find some settei myself. But can just imagine the stiff competition to get them if they ever did pop up on auction. :wow:

I think you're right, Dustie. I've worried about the competition and price factors if I ever do see any. We can only hope that if they are released it's all at once so there is plenty for all. :)

God, what I wouldn't give for some Yami sketches. My whole LiveJournal is decked in Tsuzuki theme.

So...now I'm hooked...Before I go looking...Anyone seen any production art yet? Wouldn't it be AWESOME if they were making Rilezu out of these?! I would literally try and buy them all!

I believe Kira has some really gorgeous sketches from this show in her gallery.

I'm not sure if they are originals or copies, but they are quite lovely, either way. (Sorry for posting the link, Kira. I hope you don't mind -- just thought you should get credit for these lovely pieces. *hugs*)

Jebus..If the one on the right was real....*glomp*

That's one of my favorite scenes in the whole thing. Next to the classic:

"Hey. He's a friend. I want you all to fuck off of him."

ROFL! :rollin /heh

well i dont have to say since tex-chan already said.

as i put in the commentary, i dont care if the tsuzuki and muraki is a copy, it's the closest i'm going to get to something from that scene.

as to seeing production sketches original, dont count on it. yami no matsuei was done by j.c. staff. the top page on my settei has the ynm logo with the j.c. staff logo under it.

i do know that with some of there titles they trashed some of there artwork. i know they destoryed most of there curse of the yoma artwork.

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclo ... php?id=478

what has me confused is neither of those titles are on this list of j.c staff titles. either that or there titles that havent been included - i.e not very popular. now on curse of the yoma i can see that but not ynm.
