Is the DBZ market dying down????

The Majin and Freeza Hankens are damn impressive, but the price did not nearly go as high as I thought it would have gone.

Yeah, I noticed that auction when it was first listed, but when I saw the Majin I knew it would go higher then I wanted to spend. I didn't even keep track of it to see what it ended up at, so thanks for posting that.

I do think that DBZ prices have come down lately, the less impressive and even the moderate cels are slowly making their way to the lower end of the price spectrum. However, the really rare and impressive cels of a character or scene still seem to hold their value pretty well.

I think that sometimes there are auctions that just slip by, going way under price. I remember the huge pan cel of SSJ4 Gogeta and "Omega" Shenron from last spring's BWA. I definitely thought that would get to near $2000. It barely hit the $1000 mark. So it is really the high end DBZ collectors going after what they seem to feel is their wishlist cel, and then the prices fly high.

But hey, thats just an opinion of a lonely DBZ collector...

DBZ Hanken prices have definately dropped, however sketches and cels are still going for high prices for premium cels, specifically Majin Vegeta.

The numbers og collectors may have reduced but the few left a fairly passionate.

With a 0 fb winner, its hard to use that as an example. The 0 fb winner pulled the auction up from $300 to $1100. Hopefully the seller didnt get screwed.

Wasnt a sequence mate just on YJ and ended under $500.

What a great deal....for the seller. I mean come on 900 USD for that one ? is that a joke ? the half would have been a fair price.
