I'm so honored that I got to meet and spend a little time with this legend of the animation industry, as well as attend what will end up being his last birthday party. So many talented people were there, but even at 95 yrs. old Joe still stole the spotlight. He'd start telling a great story about the good old days over at MGM, all the while working his way over to the most beautiful woman in the room, and just as he was about to deliver the finale he'd make his move and have her sitting in his lap by the time it was all said and done - such a character.

He went to work at the studio at least twice a week (usually more) up until this month. Just a great, great guy with an amazing inner drive who always left a piece of himself in the hearts of everyone he met. They just don't make 'em like him anymore.
