YouTube & Photobucket

Is there any way to download and save videos on those sites? I figured probably no, but I had to ask. The deal with saving clips on a folder doesn't do a whole lot of good for me. I'd rather download the clip.

There's a program that you can use, called Youtube Grabber. I've never tried it, but apparently it works. :^^:

And Photobucket just added a "download video" feature that is really easy to use... works the same way as downloading a picture. Sinchy simple! Give it a try. :)

I don't think that you really need to convert them. As far as I know, the VLC player (one of the best for AVI, too) will play 'em. Or check out download.com; there are lots of flv-specific players listed there. ;)

Yeah I found a player easily however some of the clips I download I'd like to edit and use however most video editing software won't recognize .flv. :bawl I've tried using Adobe Premier and ulead video editor. :shrug

Eh-heh... basically, I have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about from this point on; the only editing tool I've ever used is Nero. I suppose you might have luck with something like this, though. At least it claims to support flv, and it's free to try. :sweatdrop

Or, you can try this... which may be more practical in the long run. :^^:

Hey GK,this site might help you. I use it ALOT when I need to find programs for converting files and when I need help with anything else. They have lots of tutorials as well.

EDIT: Also I use this site for grabbing files from Youtube or Google. Just thought I'd share it even though I know you already had help given above. :)

I found this recent article on different YouTube grabbing programs:

http://mashable.com/2007/05/05/download-youtube-video/

I got tired of seeing my favorite AMVs disappearing so I went and got VDownloader for Windows. It converts YouTube videos to:

AVI 320X240
AVI 640X480
IPOD Compatible
PSP Compatible
VCD (PAL)
VCD (NTSC)
SVCD (PAL)
SVCD (NTSC)

...automatically whichever format you select. It's very handy.

if AMVs are what you want, you should go to www.animemusicvideos.org

the downloads there are free and they look a lot better than anything I've ever seen on youtube.

I was having great difficulty navigating through there during their fund raising periods.

I was going to donate, but the process turned out more involved than paying a certain Yahoo Japan deputy's bill. :D

So for much greater ease I've been watching the few AMVs I happen to stumble across there. If I ever want a much better version I'll try to get it from over there though. :)
