Do you watch the OPs & EDs?
As I was continuing my wonderful adventure with Kyou Kara Maou and weekly ritual of Bleach, I got thinking about how I view my anime. With Bleach, I skip past the OPs and EDs. I'll watch them the first time and skip them until I see it's changed again. Rinse and repeat. But with Kyou Kara Maou, I watch the OPs and EDs anytime I can.
Anyone here feel like you have to watch the OPs and EDs everytime? Or anyone here always skip regardless?

I'm with you on that one.
I watch the op and ed the first time that I see it. Then I skip.
I haven't watched Kyou Kara Maou yet. Do they change or are they just really catchy?
I felt that the Ouran op and the first Bleach op were really catchy. So while I would skip them, I am not opposed to sitting through them.

A few years back when I when i would only watch the dub of anime, I always skipped the OP and ED.. It didn't matter if I had seen it or not. However when I began to watch subs I became to really like the OPs and EDs so I would at least give them a complete watch once. However if the show is like One Piece (for example) where its still airing, i tend to watch the entire OP and ED as I try not to rush it because i know i have to wait another week or two for another episode...

It definitely depends on each individual show. For some shows, one viewing of each is quite enough. Some don't seem to match the show at all (Gundam Wing ED comes quickly to mind!) so I definitely skip those. (I guess I did end up watching that one at least 4 or 5 times... just because I kept thinking, "Surely there is some meaning here that I'm missing!" No, there wasn't! haha!) However, I watched the opening and ending of Soukyuu no Fafner every single time and I never got tired of it. The opening song and graphics are wonderful, and the ending music changes a number of times toward the end to match the ever-darkening mood of the show. Loved it, all 25 times.

I'm the same as most of the others who have replied. I watch the openings and endings at least once. Then, I usually skip them. If I like the music or song, though ... or I really like the opening animation, I will watch it every time. One of the Saiyuki Reload/Gunlock openings, I love, so I watch it every time ... same with the Velvet Underworld opening on Weiss ... the Nightwalker opening ... the Trinity Blood opening ... (I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of them right now). Kyo Kara Maoh, I watched each once, and then skipped them. (Well, for what I've seen so far, that is.)
(Wow, it's so sad that there's no really "new" anime on my list here -- LOL!)

With Hikaru No Go, I watch the OP's and ED's no matter
how many times I re-watch the series. I think it was the
music that hooked me in the first place, so I really like
watching them.
Also, unlike Baylor , I really like the OP for SKM, so
I watch it all the time. I was the same with Juuni Kokki.
As for Bleach, I love OP2 and 3, so I watched them always,
however, the others I tend to skip through. Naruto, as well
as Bleach, has some OPs and ED's that I like, and others I
don't.
So, yeah, I guess like most others here, if I like the music,
I will watch. If it doesn't really grab me, then I will skip by
it.
oh oh oh oh, I almost forgot. Got to give props to the OP
for Samurai 7. Argh, absolutely love it. Would watch it
over and over and over again.

Depends how catchy the OP and EDs are. But if it's been a while or I need a quick fix, yes i do.

That was a very smooth response.

Why do you want to do save time I only watch them so much?

It's cool to see I'm not alone in only watching them if I like the music. That's why I watch the KKM credits. I like the music.
I was watching a "new" anime with a friend who'd seen the anime before. Immediately, this friend skipped past the OP. I felt cheated even when I was told the music wasn't any good.
I agree with you, TC. I watch the Weiss OPs and EDs every time. But shellie, I skip the Gundam Wing ED so fast it isn't even funny. I can't stand it!
