Nice update: New PPGZ sketches

The second shipment of May Madness cels has arrived, and I've gotten up four of the nicest items:

From Cardcaptor Sakura:

Yue in an important scene [CAUTION! MAJOR PLOT SPOILER] and

Sakura in her Ep. 47 battle costume.

And from Magic Knight Rayearth:

a lovely, dark gothy OVA Umi and

a bright but wistful Fuu.

Still to come: another very nice CCS cel that will take some creative display work, plus three interesting CCS backgrounds, the KKJ and Slayers gengas left over from last time (with animations!), and ... yes ... still more Powerpuff Girls Z sketches. (I can't help it! ... the animators obviously had all kinds of artistic fun doing this show, even if it's kiddy fluff.)

I also love your new additions and most especially reading the long lovely descriptions of them. That new Fuu is my favorite, I love character with wistful expressions.

I saw your update on RS this morning. Stunning, as always!! I'm so jealous of your new Yue/Eriol cel. I want one from that scene, although later on, so badly. *sigh* It's not to be, I think.

But! I'm happy, happy, happy to know where I can go to visit such a lovely one!

I also love, love, love the new Umi. Spectacular!! The hair and her expression. Wow!

Thanks, all, for stopping by. It's interesting to see who likes Umi and who prefers Fuu. They are both beautiful (all MKR cels are lovely) but I personally like the dark swirly action of the OVA Umi. Does anyone know where that comes in? The action makes it look as if she is starting to dissolve, and so I wondered if it wasn't a henshin sequence?

Thanks, Tex-chan (and kira and carkiechu and kizu) for the comments on the Yue/Eriol set. I love to get critical moments like this, particularly when the scan and the description (yes, kira, it was Hobbyshop) were not very impressive. It's a shame that the top layer was so stuck, but with a little creative cropping it really scanned well.

I have a bunch of scanning and uploading to do! This morning I made progress by uploading three CCS original backgrounds:

A door that Someone hides behind in Ep. 16, during Sakura’s slightly sinister trip to the mysteriously nice old man’s cottage next to their vacation house.

the tree Li Syaoran climbs in Episode 41, when he learns what part he has to play in Sleeping Beauty

a bare cherry tree branch from Sakura’s visit to Clow Reed in Ep. 68.

And a new batch of lively, combative sketches from Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, showing Chiaki trying to put some moves on Maron and getting elbowed in the chest. This features a funny new Vampyworx reanimation

Hopefully I'll get to the PPGZ additions soon (giant weeds vs. supermodels! how could it lose visually?)

... An extremely kawaii Syaoran/Sakura cel from Episode 57, the famous “elevator” adventure.

That one took quite a session with the Exacto knife and various pieces of scrapbooking paper, but I think the cel deserved it.
