Help...how do you report....

Post by moonrabitt »

Okay..so I sold something on EBAY!!! *dances*

But the winner has:
1) 0 feedback
2). Not responded since s/he won it (on nov 12)
3).Is from Mexico 8O Not that I have anything wrong with that, but since I'm native to that country I know that they most likely will not pay...

Sure I can hunt their butts down when I go to Mexico for my vacation, I'll be like 20 mins away  Maybe scaring them might do?
But that's like in a month...so

How do I file that non-payer form and when???
I need the money, and the item went for a lot....

-thanks

Have you sent a second invoice to the buyer yet? If not then I'd send one just in case he never received the first by some freak reason. Since it's only been about 5 days I would wait maybe 2 more to make it a week. On the seventh day I'd go to 'my eBay' and at the menu to the left go to 'dispute console'. There is where you can report a UID (unpaid item dispute). Ebay should then send them an email stating that they need to contact you or pay for the item, something to that effect. Then I think after 5 days or so if the buyer still hasn't responded then you should be able to go back into your 'dispute console' and finish filing it for a refund of your fees.

Sorry you are having a bit of trouble. I know it can be VERY frustrating when you get deadbeat bidders. :? I've been burned many, many times.

File an Unpaid Item Dispute:
http://rebulk.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?CreateDispute

If you really need the money and don't want to wait for the original winner, you can actually offer this to runner up. Log onto the auction and near the top, there should be a "second chance offer" OR click on bid history and there should be a link for a "second chance offer" near the runner up's ID. But don't forget to file for non payment!

Good luck!

There's a really easy way to file your dispute. I've done it before. :^^:

--Go to your "sold" section
--Go to that item
--The dropdown menu where you can mark shipped, see feedback has been left, etc. has "report an unpaid item".
--Click that and answer the questions.

I agree with the policy of sending a 2nd invoice. I tell my buyers to pay within 7 days. By the 5th day, I send a 2nd invoice just in case they had it on their "to do" list and forgot. It happens to me sometimes. :cucu

I'm having to deal with a newbie, who has just informed me they can't pay until Decemeber. Uh, why didn't you tell me that before? :x And another fairly new person who has written me twice now. Both times IN ALL CAPS! I hate that. I tend not to respond to those regardless. I would rather not take your money than deal with a rude person.

Whew! That apparently was my ebay rant of the day. X|
Can you hear this fangirl squee?!

Thanks guys....I read all the comments and thanks for taking the time to tell me what to do ^-^
It's been 7 days so I have reported the buyer...

I'll send a second offer to the runner up, or maybe put it up for auction again....I hope that people don't just bid for the heck of it this time :x
Bad newbies!

-Anywho thanks again ^^

I know $300!!!! But the bidder was dead-beat and the runner up did not respond! I hate that >_< I hope it goes high next time around...

Update:

Dispute Opened: Nov 19...
Now it's 7 days later..I click on CLOSE Dispute and what it the only box that I can check???

In the first page it gives these reasons:
Close this Dispute
You can close this dispute if
- You and the buyer are satisfied
- You don't want to communicate with or wait for the buyer
- You both agree not to complete the transactions
- Buyer returned the item

So I click on the next page, the only box that I can check (the other's I can't check since they seem closed?) Is the one that says:

"We've completed the transaction and we're both satisfied.
No Final Value Fee credit will be given and the buyer will not get an Unpaid Item strike."

NO!!!!!!!! I want to check this one:

" I feel I have no other option but to end communication with the buyer.

You'll get a Final Value Fee credit and the buyer will get an Unpaid Item strike."

How long are they going to make me wait?
I want to  someone >_<
---------
Another update...I apparently have to wait one more day? 8 days? BS..I want my money now +_+

See who else had their items bid on by that same person. E-mail them and ask if they have heard anything from this buyer. If they have not then you know there is a problem. I have caught several suspicious people this way before..

Thanks for the tip ^_^

Update: I sold the item again! *dances*
and again the person is from Mexico (diff. part then the other buyer) and does not answer emails -_-, They also don't seem to be bidding on anything else, their score is 17. (it's been 4 days, and I will give them the benefit of the doubt) but if this person does not pay, I'll just make it paypal account only...I'm leaving and I wanted the money, and this is the 2d time someone has messed with me -_-

I would put a block to all countries other then USA on that item.

/ok
I agree with RoboFlonne that item should only be for US bidders only. I HOPE it goes HIGH O_O AGAIN!!! Maybe after 7 days you should send a second chance offer to the next person??? Good Luck!!!
