The defining characteristic? They’re all women! (well, two of them are really girls, but you know what I mean) So the answer is:

I’ve only seen the early ‘90s Sol Bianca OVA (Ah, the wonders of “final clear-away” VHS bins of the past! ), but I loved the breezy banter between the members of the crew. And I remember being surprised that the little boy stowaway was voiced by a real little boy, an anomaly in anime. He was very good, too. (Of course that was because he was Daisuke Namikawa, who would go on to give us Daisaku in Giant Robo, Kei in Gantz, Rock in Black Lagoon, Akizuki in Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto, Tou Eigetsu in Saiunkoku Monogatari, etc. etc!)

A very pretty looking, fun show!
