^_^ I got my reply just a few minutes ago, patience has really paid off.

He's already done quite a bit of legwork including a mini-invoice with each reply email; hopefully everybody gets theirs soon!

I recieved a reply tonight as well, I hope it's not an issue but the intro on the invoice reads (I'd guess this is the form part everyone will get):
Dear Auction Winner

Thank you for your participation and your patience. There were 150 people placed over 2000 offers to me in the last one week. Over 500 cels are sold or being negotiated at present time.

Below is a list of the cels you were the highest bidder. This is an auction with no minimum bids so I tried my best to accept all reasonable finals. Unfortunately 90% of the bids were lower than my cost, some were less than 10% of my costs. As a cel collector, I am sure you understand and appreciate that every single cel you have is an effort that you treasure. After struggling with myself for two days, I finally accepted most of the bids, but there are a few that I would rather keep instead of let go at the price way below what I believe to be reasonable. Therefore, out of the 500+ cels, I rejected 5 bids and made 14 counter offers. The reason for reject is I think I may have over paid or over expected the sale price. I don’t want to offend anybody by making an, I don’t it is fair or not, counter offer.

In addition, due to the large quantity of cels I need a lot time to locate, examine and make sure it is the correct cel. Therefore, please be patience if you don’t hear from me or don’t get reply from me in a timely manner.
It follows with payment options/instructions/etc. & closing. and at the bottom is what you've won or a counter offer if you were one of the 14. It's got to be a lot of work as well as emotional to part with a collection you spent so long on.

Has anyone been given instructions with shipping and payment yet ?

Ive confirmed the shipping method and payment method, but no reply, just wondering is he still busy organizing or did I get left out... :(

I was under the impression that he would be breaking the auction winners into different groups, each group shipping at differently predetermined times. And since there were so many individual bidders/winners, I wouldn't be surprised if he's a little behind.

*waiting in suspense for next batch of auctions*

Ditto, I'm not too worried either especially since I haven't had to fork out any money yet! And I'm not surprised he's taken this long it must be a nightmare sorting out who won what, then locating the cel making sure you've got the right one(s) matched up to the correct order etc.

So I'm quite content to sit and wait if only because I appreciate how time consuming it must be for him and I won't have quite such a large credit card bill to deal with at one time.

Gotta remember, he didn't do this because he needed our money per se, he just wanted to start over. I'm sure between life and love and all the rest, he'll get to us when he can / wants to.

Personally, as long as I know it's technically mine now, it's all I need, and don't really care whenI get around to actually getting it. I've always been wierd patient like that. Buyers of mine get mad at me for the same reason...I shouldn't assume everyone like to wait as long >.<

I'm in the same situation. I got a confirmation on my winnings and I replied with how i'd like to pay + personal info. As long as I get my cels, I don't care if I ever get an invoice. =)

Did someone win the giant albino Rei cel from the Eva. movie with her spooky eyes and wings? @_@ When I last saw, the bid was really low... wish I had bid on it since it sounds like he decided to sell most stuff, even if the bids were ultra-low.

=^..^=

This thread has been silent for a while. Was just going to add, I recieved my three items in the mail today from Alex. They look even better in person : )

I know he was doing the billing & shipping in several steps, so hopefully if your still waiting this will help you relax. He's probably got a ton of work to still do.

^_^ I received my two cels from Alex yesterday. They'reboth in wonderful condition and I highly recommend that anyone interested in his auctions should jump at the chance to bid on such high quality cels!

*Happily waiting for 2nd round of auctions*

yup, got my cels too - just came in this weekend :) I can't wait to see another auction by Alex - although I think that it might be a while as it seems there were several problems that crept up in this one that were unaccounted for...

but still, thanks again Alex for all your hard work on this!
