Three reasons I am excited about this film...

1. Scully. sigh

2. Billy Connolly is one of my favorite actors/comedians ever.

3. Chris Carter is writing AND directing this film. It is not a mythology story about the ongoing UFO plot. It is a stand-alone story that anyone can jump into.

This should be a very good film.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Don't think Lance is up to it, though (damn shame ).

That said, still definitely looking forward to this - and I agree with you BH that Connolly should be a great asset to the film.

actually...
Of particular note to fans of Millennium though, Carter also revealed that he has mulled a movie based on Millennium, which starred Lance Henriksen as criminal profiler and family man Frank Black:

"We've talked about that over the years," he said. "Lance would love to do it. I don't know if it would ever get done. It's a long shot. It would be fun. I have ideas about how to do it."
from http://www.millennium-thisiswhoweare.net/

So I guess it's possible, but whether or not it will ever happen...

I miss Frank Black!!!

well, just saw it. Very good detective story. This is a film that anyone can jump into without knowing how the series ended. Great job by Anderson here. She was fantastic. Duchovney, as always, was great. Stick around after the credits.
Time is but an illusion. Lunch time...doubly so.
