Just took a look at the ANN article confirming this series, and noticed that the confirmation material has a picture of a manga-only character on it. Apparently, the flap on the 20th volume of had a kind of ad for the new series (says something like "A new tv anime begins"). Then again, the picture is obviously taken from the manga rather than something that the animators produced, so she may not be in the series. Who knows.

I haven't read the manga, but I've heard it's drastically different from the show. I'm curious if the second series will be a different version of the first, based off of the manga or if it will continue where the movie left off or if it will replace the movie altogether. Either way I'll wait to hear what you all say about it. I liked FMA, but not enough to commit to another series.

Watch it not be anything at all about Ed or Roy or any of the main characters we've grown to love.

Either way, I'll be tuning in April of 2009 to find out.
