Question about eBay seller

Post by Ollin »

Has any one here had dealings with ebay seller "clover.chan".

I'm thinking about buying an autograph and just making sure the seller is reputable. He has 300+ feedback but its all private. :?

...? Their feedback isn't private: http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.d ... 11.c0.m198 If it were private, it would say so, rather than have a number there. :^^:

Welcome to the board, btw! :)

That seller was just the subject of a thread here about them passing forging signatures. That thread is here:

I just looked through their current auctions and would without a doubt say every last one of those is apiece of fan art they're trying to pass off as legitimate. I'm actually really annoyed about it as I know I reported the Utena ones last time they listed auctions. I know at least one other person did as well but, clearly ebay took no action against them. I wish there were a way to warn all colectors about this persons deceptive practices.

The Kenshin one seems fairly fake. :? I've looked at enough drawings to see a bit of inconsistencies. Shoot the signature doesn't look legit to me. They all look like they were done on the same sheets too. I dunno, I wouldn't touch those "autographs" if I were you.

they're not legit.

- look at the starting price. Nothing authentic would have a price that low and without reserves.
- the are all done in what appears to be the same black pen/ink.. looks sharpie and the paper is all the same. Looks like it's done on regular printer paper which is very very rare for autographed sketches (shikishi panels are the most popular)
- drawings look like imitations as well.

I reported them as well. Obviously eBay could care less about scam sellers, since their sales have fallen WAY down in the last quarter.
