Kathpatty, In a blog that I had posted earlier in the year, I also expressed my lament for Jason's character. But someone wisely pointed out that there is alot of time that was unaccounted for Jason in the first book. The TV series just looks at one possible way he was filling his time. And, after much thought, I like the way they looked at him. I'm hoping that, in the tv series, this will help mold his character - especially as he develops into...well...a different person.

I also like the previews that I have seen for the second season - did you see Jason attending *cough* "church service" *cough*. That is an interesting twist!! I'm curious to see where they go with that portion of the story.

All in all, I can't wait for season two to start on HBO. And I cannot wait for October and the new book!

In the meantime, I'll be content to read my Rogue Angel series - I only have to wait two months between releases!

Does anyone know anything about her new book, which comes out next month?

http://www.amazon.com/Touch-Dead-Sookie ... 564&sr=8-1

It is a compilation of short stories which have been previously published (where?) -- I just can't figure out if these are something new, or if I'm just going to be reading about stuff from the first nine novels. It's only $13, but I'm not sure if I'm willing to invest without some kind of synopsis. Anyone know any more details about this companion book?

Editorial Reviews
Product Description
Every Sookie Stackhouse short story ever written-in one special volume-from the New York Times bestselling author.

Now, for the first time, here is every Sookie Stackhouse short story ever written-together in one volume.

Stories include -Fairy Dust,- -One Word Answer,- -Dracula Night,- -Lucky,- and -Giftwrap.-

===========

These short shorts were published in anthology books with other similar authors. One book was title "Many Bloody Returns", another was called "Bite".

It nice to have all the short stories together so if that's all you want to read, you don't have to buy severals books and only read one short short in it.
