US Customs...

Post by majinuub »

Looks like my expected package from Japan is being held at customs. I suspect it's because of the psp I bought :x . When I put the tracking number in it says "Inbound Into Customs". This has never happened to me before so can anyone tell me the procedures for this? Will I end up having to pay a fee? My biggest worry is if a figure I purchased ends up being damaged due to poor handling on their part X| .

"Inbound into Customs" is normal for about a day during the work week. For weekend arrivals, I have seen packages remain so labeled for 2-3 days. I have also had packages remain so labeled until they reached my local post office distribution center.

I am surprised that you have not seen this before. My packages from Japan mostly come through Chicago as the port of entry, and I have never received a package that hasn't spent some time labeled "Inbound into Customs".

Seeing that doesn't mean much one way or the other.

That's good to know. When I checked the ems search for japan post it also said.

"Awaiting presentation to customs commissioner."

It's been like that for over 4 days so that's why I became a bit worried.
