Will purchasing zenbu 45 now still qualify me for BWA?
Yes, i know it would be easier and cheaper to just register for the BWA, but like the past BWA's the CC authentication process is failing again. E-mailing them asking for paypal payment is useless (tried last time from 3 different e-mails and never received a reply).
On the last BWA that i participated i was lucky and after 5 days retrying the registration payment finally went through. I would prefer not having to go through this again, so if purchasing the zenbu now makes the trick i don't mind having to pay a little more.
Anyone can confirm?

Same issue for me yesterday with my Mastercard.darksuzaku wrote:Yes, i know it would be easier and cheaper to just register for the BWA, but like the past BWA's the CC authentication process is failing again. Seems that Mandarake systems dislike the Secure 3D system (remember Japan is another bank planet).
Here is the contact and adress that arranged me registration the same day within 8 hours :
Eriko Kurosaka
auction@mandarake.co.jp
Mandarake team will ask you to confirm your e-mail adress and charge you 550 JPY through Paypal as a regular invoice to pay.
Then go in Paypal and send payment to their "order-en" adress by including in comments the invoice Order ID number.
Good luck

well, sure, if they had answered my e-mails like they did to you there wouldn't be any problem. But for the BWA of last summer i sent e-mails (from 3 different e-mail addresses) and they didn't reply to any of them. I doubt all 3 addresses were filtered, specially a gmail one.
For this time i have also e-mailed them (11 hours ago right by the time i post this) and have not received any reply yet. I sent it during afternoon/night in Japan so maybe it's still a little soon to expect a reply.
Of course during these days i'll keep retrying the registration process. Maybe it will finally go through like it did last summer (after 5 days trying).
As for other options i may try, besides purchasing the Zenbu now, the other option i'm considering is to just send the 550 Yen to their paypal address. I would explain in the details of the payment the details of my account and why i have to send it without an official invoice..... Don't know if this might work....
Is it already obvious that i want to bid on something?

Got the problem because they didn't recognize my Gmail account as I use the Hotmail one for instant notification. Anyway they were fast to reply, even I'm definitively not a major customerdarksuzaku wrote:well, sure, if they had answered my e-mails like they did to you there wouldn't be any problem. Well, after almost 24 hours of no reply i have sent them 550 Yens through paypal. Of course i don't have any invoice number or anything to put there, so i hope they don't have any kind of automated bot processing the paypal payments.....
If everything fails i guess i can always contact celga and ask them to bid for me. I suppose they won't have problems to do that.

Yes, it's a local problem. The 3D security system (if your bank is adhered to it) basically redirects the transaction to the verification provider specified by the bank. The provider then validates that the person using the credit card is the owner of the card. The problem is located on that validation server. I checked it directly and always gives a generic "Too busy, try later" message. For sure the Mandarake server interprets this as "not accepted transaction" instead of just using the conventional way. Unfortunately for me the people at my bank told me last summer that they don't have any control over this verification process -_-zerospace wrote:That's interesting... I was able to register for the BWA with my credit card yesterday without any issues. Could the issue possibly be with your credit card provider or bank?
My main problem is that my e-mails don't seem to arrive to them (others contacted them and got a prompt response). That's why i decided to send the registration fee by paypal directly (and i'm still waiting).

Japan Bank system didn't sign the IBAN protocol decades ago, so imagine with the latest 3D systemdarksuzaku wrote:

Uhh... no offense or anything, but wouldn't doing that kind of negate the security provided by the system?iceman57 wrote: Give me all your data per e-mail, I'll try to connect you asap

I hope you manage to get registered, darksuzaku. I'm guessing this system is a European one, then. There are similar ones in the US, but I reserve one credit card for use with Mandarake that does not use a verification system like this, so .. yeah. That would explain why I don't have the problem.

Indeed, but Darksuzaku main issue is that he never gets replies from Mandarake team. So priority is to allow him to join the BWA rumblezerospace wrote: Uhh... no offense or anything, but wouldn't doing that kind of negate the security provided by the system?

That may be true, iceman, but who's to say you contacting them for him will help? They still need to reach him directly, you know? If you really want to help him, the best you could do would be to email Mandarake and tell them to look for emails from him. Anything else you send couldn't and shouldn't be trusted.
