Fire Sale/Gallery Offers
I *swear* I posted this already yesterday, and it even had some views. So I have no idea why the topic seems to be missing. Of course, I posted it with my iphone so maybe it got screwed up or something, or I'm just crazy.
Anyway, this is a very temporary offer period to raise a little bit of money for a wishlist item. I don't normally sell cels to buy more cels, but a wishlist is involved, so please understand that once I reach my goal, the offer period will end. So it may take one sold item to meet my goal, it may take 10. So please don't be offended if I turn down your offer because the goal has been met, because I am trying to cut my losses as short as possible. I will still record the names and contacts of people who are interested to give them first come first served should I sell in the future.
Paypal payment is only accepted, and payment is due within 2 days of us finalizing the transaction.
Only stuff off limits is VOH, RK OVA, Mermaid Saga, Flight of Dragons and 12 Kingdoms
My email is currently down, so please pm. Thank you.

Ok guys, I'm pretty much calling this whole thing off coz I forgot just how miserable a couple of people can make this whole process and now I'm pretty much not in the mood to sell anything. I'll still try to get back with the small handful that were polite and followed directions but I still may not sell even to you guys coz I'm just ssssssssooooooooo jaded by this at this point in time.

It sucks when things like this happen. Granted I know people want to buy things for a little as possible and seller want to sell for as much as they can. Maybe we as a group need to come up with some sort of system for selling for those who are willing. For example if **** is placed in the post then people need to follow a specific procedure to buy and sell an item. What...What am I thinking people cant follow the most basic of instruction. Oh well, I thought it was a good idea.

*sighs* *stands up* I am one of the people that cannot properly read. And for that I am truly sorry. Honestly, I was thinking JK...not 12K. But that is still a pretty pathetic excuse for not properly reading and computing the post the whole way through.
After opening, and the very promptly closing my gallery for offers, I have this tidbit of advice to give:
Decide exactly what you are willing to part with and put a price-tag on it. In the past, I thought that it would be too much of a hassle to price everything out that I was willing to let go of. My last offer period here taught me that the rage involved with give you a headache for at least a week. So, taking a day to price things out now seems like just a very small fraction of my time.
Just my thoughts....and thoughts I may very likely not even stick to the next time I want to sell something.

I have found it helps to let people know what you paid for the cel before you start to negotate. I have always been happy enough to get around what I paid...sometimes alittle more ...sometimes a little less. If you are really attached to a particular cel....come up with a premium adder on top of your cost .
I have 1500 cels in my collection and I remind myself all the time when selling cels...cover your costs...this is a little paint on plastic and who know when others of this character could surface which would devalue the cel you're trying to sell.

Jenn, I totally agree with this. It's very good advice, especially these days.jenn-b wrote:After opening, and the very promptly closing my gallery for offers, I have this tidbit of advice to give:

iceman57, she's taking offers ... these things are generally handled privately around here, and usually involve someone making an actual offer, rather than asking for a price. If you continue to insist that your behavior is acceptable, you might find that people are simply no longer willing to deal with you... period. Just letting you know ... before you burn every bridge you might still have left.iceman57 wrote:Cause I simply like direct offers display.
