HUGE Gallery Update (_8(l)

Post by gundamx2 »

Hello.

I haven't updated my website ever since my bird, Coco, passed away.

It's been over a year, but I finally found the motivation to continue updating it, so, here is a over a years worth of updates in my cel gallery.

Here is what has changed:

- Added Picture Banners to represent Series to make it easier to find

- Eliminated Rating for each item

- Took out a lot of jabbering text; only a select few have comments

- Top 10 Section Added

- Gone Cels Section Added

- Hidden Section Added (this is really the Mature Section; not as simple as 1-2-3 to access this section; good luck :) )

- New Series added; others removed (if sold)

Almost every section has been updated, so think of every section as new.

Oh, and some of my comments might contain spoilers for the series, so, if that bothers you, you may want to just skip it entirely.

That's about it. I hope everyone enjoys the new updates. Thanks.

You have a lot of nice things there gundamx2!

I didn't know you had so many gaming show material. :)

Sorry to hear about the Hyakko. The Higurashi looks nice even though as you say...the color is not quite the same as the image you see. The Mai Hime looks good. You see her dragging her sword there. Didn't know there was a character with heterochromia in Samurai Spirits. You even got the Renketsu Houshiki sketches. :D

I like the KimiKiss sketches too.

toonybabe - Thanks. :) Having a top 10 page helped me figure out which ones are my ultimate favorites and also the ones I will frame someday.

Keropi - Thanks. :D Yea, I never felt so ripped off for the Hyakko copies. I think the same seller still sells stuff like that; I don't remember the id though.

The Higurashi rilezu, the company finished it really fast; I thought it was too fast as if they rushed it. I know at least one person who also had a Higurashi rilezu and it took over the 3 month period to finish; mine finished in less than a month. 8O I've seen some other rilezus by the same company, and I've seen ones that looked even better than the screencap (one that comes to mind is one of the Saber ones). So, bummer on mine. I guess rilezus really aren't my thing.

Massacrist Manslayer - Thanks.
8) I hope you enjoyed the quiz. :D I made it like that so that no one would accidentally get into it for those that don't want to go there, and is designed so only older people will be able to get in.

I took it straight from the 2nd episode of Higurashi Kai, so, for those who watched it, it will be a breeze to answer. Even those that didn't watch it should be able to figure it out. I mean, I wanted to make it a little harder to get in, but no so hard that everyone will be pulling their hair out. :D

Whoa, whoa!

Your scan of Sawa is just, jaw-dropping! Those are the richest colors I've seen - they're just as beautiful as they are in real life!

That Hanken (right?) of the catgirl is lovely as well!

Those original artworks are beautiful - who was the artist who did Powergirl (pow9)?

<3 Congrats on the simply lovely update, T! You've made my night exciting!

Again, beautiful, beautiful scans!

Yeah, I've done that a couple of times with Neo Angelique Abyss and Nogizaka Haruka, etc. That Kanon (2002) set only had one minor sketch in there as well out of the whole batch, but at least I got backgrounds out of it.

Your gallery kind of reminds me of Jerry's defunct Geocities gallery in terms of how many shows I was looking for something from at one time of another (and with those shows being less than average in popularity too). That doesn't happen very often - and those collectors usually never post here.

My attention span is pretty short. By the time I seen Hyakko sketches that I liked I had already moved on to something else. :D

Massacrist Manslayer - Heh. Yea. It's a trick question in its own way, but at least you got it. You earned it. :D

Nelia - Thanks Nelia. :) I noticed the colors on the Sawa cel looks different on different monitors. At home, it looks average; but, at work's computer, it looks a lot better.

If you're talking about the catgirl one in the misc. page, that one is actually a fancel (I wish it was Hanken  )

About the powergirl artwork, I don't remember his name at the moment. It's someone on Ebay. I'll get back to you on that one. That artwork was originally commissioned for another person, but that guy backed out, so he relisted it, and I snatched it.

Glad you enjoyed the visit. :D

Keropi - Yea, I'm pretty open on what I collect. Even if it's a series I never watched before, I will still get it if it looks good. It doesn't matter to me if the series is popular or not. It's just that popular series tend to have more competition for it.

Going off topic, seeing your icon reminds me I need to finish watching Asura Cryin. :D

uchiha615 - Thanks. :D It looks very simple, but it took forever to finding those pictures and editing each one.

But I'm glad with the final outcome. It's a lot easier to find a series now than before when it was all just text, and I like how it looks when all these different series' pictures are all bunched together.

And doing it was also a reminder how to update periodically instead of doing it all at once. :D

Really? That's interesting. Which of them have you not seen yet?

Finish it! The anime's ending is much better than the novel's. But then again the novel's ending wasn't very good so that's not really saying anything.

Let's see.

I have cels or sketches from the following, but I never watched them yet:

- Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040 (I watched crisis and crash though)
- Devil Hunter Yohko
- Escaflowne
- Irresponsible Captain Tylor
- Prism Ark (I couldn't pass up that genga; that one just looks too awesome)
- Usagi de Cue
- and few in the misc. section which I don't even know the title
- *Skygirls and Spiral are series I watched a little of but, for one reason or another, didn't feel it was good enough plotwise to continue watching

So, yea, that's a pretty big list, lol.

I guess I see certain pieces in a certain way through an artistic perspective, so even if they are series I haven't watched or even ones I don't like, I might still collect from those series.

I look forward to the rest of Asura Cryin. So it really does end in 2nd season right? no 3rd season or anything like that?

There were some shows I didn't get into either, but I still got the artwork (shows like Saint October, Night Wizard and Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo). You can certainly like the artwork and not like the show itself. :)

No, the second season would be it. The end.
