Thank you for checking. It's not the May update of yesteryear but it was fun to plan and put up.

Of course when there's more RS people fighting over the next set of RM art, there will be less competition over the CCS.

No, it really is an interesting series if you are into the "fairy-tale" influenced plots (CCS, TnN, Princess Tutu). And this one, like Tutu, really seems to have inspired the artists. I'm amazed at some of the detail work, which no one would ever see in the final show. It's almost as if they had the Maidens overseeing the genga artists: "Is that all the better you can draw me?? [slap!]"

I actually like the sketch much better than the actual screen shot.
That's another one that actually is nicer as a genga than as an image on the screen. I really never expected to own it, knowing what RM art had been selling for, but I figured it would be honor enough to have the high bid on it for a while. And ...

Well worth a watch, and I'm deeply indebted to Macron one for making me discover that the complete box set had just come out. It's handsomely done (though slim on extras), and a huge improvement over the "gray market" (probably pirated) version that I'd had since 2005.
Now I'm jealous with great selection of Usagi-chan gear , the backgrounds do in deed bring out the rich colours from each cel
Heh. You're the one who tempted me with the pretty pictures. And Ollie's Bargain Barn put the big box of acid-free paper on sale at just the right moment. It was bunny-girl kismet.
welcome to the ecchi fan club
I was pleasantly surprised that the plot, slim as it was, actually held together to the end. I got the impression that some poor creative soul with a dream of a serious series about girls with animal souls trapped inside ala
Fruits Basket had gone to studio after studio trying to sell the premise. Then, at the end of a long trail, s/he arrived at Pink Pineapple: "Oh Yeah! And when they merge with their animals, they get huge busts! And they're not afraid to get naked! And they can do awesome martial arts fights! With beaucoups fanservice! And a catgirl! We've
got to have a catgirl! That could work! We could make an
incredible OVA out of that!"
