Beta on mobile devices?

So I'm an android phone and tablet owner, and I use my mobile devices to browse the web a lot (ok, I use my mobile devices for as many hours a day as I use my PC ). I'm sure there are a bunch of folks here who also own android phones & tablets, iPhones, iPads, etc who might also be interested in this. I was wondering if it is possible for the Beta admins to activate or install some sort of mobile-friendly access to the board?

There appear to be 2 main ways of doing this, and I don't know which people would be most interested in, but I'd be happy with either:

1) Install a mobile version (simple WAP would be fine) modificiation to Beta.
or
2) Activate tapatalk on beta. (http://www.tapatalk.com).

The only issue with tapatalk is that the app side of it is paid (its free for board admins to activate on their boards). The Tapatalk app itself is available for iOS, android & blackberry, so pretty much all smartphones are covered. BUT, for those who have android devices -- head over to GetJar (http://www.getjar.com or http://m.getjar.com on your mobile) and snag a free copy of the Tapatalk app -- it's usable on lots of boards around the web already.

I don't know how popular an idea this is, but it's a thought I figured I'd post!

This would be nice. ^_^ I know I rarely post, but I Iurk... a lot. If it's not too hard, I'd love to see it. Another forum I use has one and I utilize it a lot. Much easier to browse.

Oooh! This would be nifty, if it's not that hard and it's do-able for Beta. I've become mostly a lurker, too -- but I do a lot of board surfing on my phone. I've probably gotten to the point where I use my phone nearly as much as my computer! (Something I never thought I would say!

The board works well enough on my asus transformer (I'm posting from it right now), but the primary reason I even mentioned this was for phones and small screens like them. I despise visiting sites like this from my phone, but sometimes I do need to answer a message when my computer or tablet isn't handy ^_~.

This is obviously not a popular idea... so I'm not entirely sure why its been resurrected. If ya'll want to have a mobile device discussion, I think it needs a new thread ^_~. This was supposed to be about a mobile version of Beta.

Actually, for a phone it is a pretty good idea! I never really thout about that.

I despise using my cellphone for things like this too....XD But as you've stated sometimes you've gotta.

As long as I'm moving the forum again, I'll look into this and see if something can be done to make Beta "MOBILE"
