Watching that has made me feel better about buying a cel I recently purchased for what I thought was a lot of money. I can't believe it went so high, soooo much money. I wonder what the seller originally brought it for (probably 5000yen or found it on the floor of the animation studio!!) I bet hes happy at least!

GK you should know by now that charging a cel only makes the value go up faster in 1 year then it would normally.

i knew that it would cap out close to 403,000.
just a hunch but i knew it would go way over 300,000.

good thing you stopped when you did GK. otherwise i would not like to have the credit card bill come next month. lol

i too was thinking about bidding just to put in my few cents to the auction

well i wish the ppl who bid on the next auction like that better luck and to be able to keep it in the family.

well.. I was in there too but just had to give it up when it went over 375. It is a cool shot and would have loved to have that for my collection but I don't do credit and I got the satisfaction of knowing I was making someone pay out the ass for that cel. But.. just as I was logging off that Japanese dude comes in and pushes it over 401. That was when I knew there was no way I was going to place another bid and that was a good feeling to know that I was going to be saving a hunk of change. I didn't get to see GK bid so let me just say... wow!

One potential benefit from this auction is that it may have gotten decent exposure and is making many other Japanese cel collectors reconsider holding onto their cels. We might begin to see more and more cels like that on YJ and if so, I'll be there.

Hold your head up high GK. That was a ball'sy bid you made. You and Sato really pushed it to the limit. I'm wondering Sato's bid was Gogeta00 - That was his number 1 wishlist cel. That is without a doubt the most money I've ever seen a DBZ cel go for. It just goes to show that people will still fork up the big bucks for the really quality cels.

all I have to say is Holy Shit. That one cel went for just about what my whole collection is worth! It's also worth more that my CAR! Also more than my portion of rent at my house at college for the whole year! Just think about that...just for 1 cel. One picture. One moment in DBZ. Almost $4,000. That is just amazing.

That is, without a doubt, the craziest thing I have ever seen. But remember, it IS like the turning point in the whole dbz series. Everybody loves that scene. I wouldn't have ever thought a dbz cel would go that high. DAMN!! lol.

I know thats a major wishlist cel for many people but $3,400 for that cel is WAY TOO MUCH! Yes its SSJ2 Gohan during a very important scene but that was just bidding-gone-wild. Don't feel bad for those who lost; they actually won.....others will turn up, they always do.
