side road to topic: Please clarify what you mean Elfstalker. I was under the impression that we can't post images from rubberslug but that we can link them. I went back and re-read the rules and #7 says this at the end:

"Do not link to images on other sites such as rubberslug."

This follows a sentence that talks about posting an image from sites that are not ours so I was under the impression that last part of #7 meant the same thing and only applied to images that were posted. Do you mean that we cannot even give links to the images on rubberslug?

As far as I know none of us has been giving link of images, so far its been
the page links that the image is displayed on...right soda?

I agree I linked on my post about soda's gallery but I changed it so quick
that I dont think anyone apart from me n soda saw it.....

Nobody, as far as I have seen, has posted an image... just links. As the rules are written, as Soda pointed out, they mean LINKING an image, as in, actually putting the image in the post. Because everytime a person loads the page to read the post, it is being linked from the site, using up their bandwidth.

However, a link is the only other alternative and I believe that is OK because bandwidth is only used if the person wants to click on the link and go to the site, which they'd do anyway if they really wanted.... it's just a quick link to it.

As the rules are written, I think it's just a mis-calculation on Elfy's part in either the understanding of the statement or thinking some of us have actually linked to the images... or maybe they have and I missed it.

No big deal. If however, links period are not permitted, I gotta say.... that's stupid.

I think I'm confused on the bandwidth part. Is more bandwidth taken up when a person visits a link to a single cel or more when the person visits the main gallery of a site?

Under the 'Rules' section, when I read the 'no linking' part, I took it as 'no linking to a single cel,' but linking to a main gallery is okay. At least, that's how I interpret the rule.

I was asking a fellow RS mod about this, and he said that linking to a SINGLE cel is not good, but linking to a main gallery is okay. That's why I'm confused about the bandwidth loading on a single cel versus visiting a main gallery instead. Is this making sense?

I'm getting confused myself. Someone with more knowledge on bandwidth please help.

Links to RS within the confines of your game are fine

. Have fun and enjoy yourselves... But, just remember not to link directly to images. Most of you haven't of course, but "Impulse" on page 13 of this thread did, so be careful is all. And do not involve unknowing participants from RS please and thank you... and with a little sugar on top..

Well now that that is all cleared up- I would like to say that I love all of E's Gally cels (Battle Angel Alita) on RS under 'E'. I had a hard time picking just ONE, but I'll choose that huge fancel of the promo released with the DVD's. Awesome!

Well, that Gally Hanken cel that you are referring to is awesome that is why I have it right up there with the other BIG ones, but I cannot really call it a "fan cel" either. That would be misleading, because it is spot right on perfect! It is more like a "Pirate-copy" . Too good to be a 'fan cel", but I am honest enough not to try to pawn it off as the real thing--that would be quite possible.

Rhey, I have been a fan for years of your Trunks collection (way back in my DBZ collecting days! shhh don't tell anyone
My favorite from your gallery has to be that almighty DBZ Trucnks "dream sequence" cel that you have. How you were able to get that one is a miracle!! That is a DBZ "Holy Grail" cel.
