How's a mono-lingual gal supposed to cope???

haha!
I think the German twist might have a bit to do with it. Truthfully, I thought the whole German thing --- with all the German names, etc ... --- was a bit strange. I never have figured out exactly why they did it that way ... other than Koyasu (hope I spelled his name right ... I'm in the midst of a fic at the moment, so am not thinking clearly about anything but the story ...) thought it was "neat" --- much like the bad fashion sense and unfortunate costuming choices the boys constantly make. But, that might not be the whole reason, either ... honestly, the plot for WK is convoluted, and, at times, nearly non-existent. Sometimes, it helps to suspend reality and just "go with the flow" ... heh, heh. But, if it helps at all, I felt totally confused when I first figured out how vast the Weiss universe was. I mean, I just thought it was this rather cheesy (yet oddly popular) anime series ... and, then, when I started surfing the 'Net ... I find CD dramas ... doujinshi ... fanfics ... music videos ... OAV ... I mean ... there doesn't seem to be any end to it.
Oh ... and, regarding Gluhen ... I'm not sure if anyone warned you about this or not (no ... no spoilers, so don't worry) ... it will seem rather confusing in the beginning, because Yohji and Ken don't show up right away. But, have faith (and patience) ... they'll be along before the end. To me, Gluhen didn't really feel like "Weiss" until they showed up. From what I remember on the fansubs, their absence wasn't ever really explained, either ... irritating ... but quite typical for Weiss.
