I'm with jenn-b on this one. I've always heard that cels need to breathe every once in a while. If they don't, the paint starts to deteriorate. Rilezus may be of a higher quality but I'll still continue to let them breathe occassionally. My repros and rilezus are always opened if for nothing else than to scan them. Then they are sealed away. I also don't plan on selling any one of them.
OH! And about the "devaluing" of them, I'd have to say that's just a matter of opinion. I received a repro in pieces but I still love it. It's not devalued in my book at all but I can understand why someone might get upset. I'd say as long as you tell the person you're selling to the condition . . . that's all that matters.

Rilezu cels from madoka are made to be store as they are sold. I don't see any point in opening at and it you do you really need to keep the plastic bag with that little gold seal on it.
Oh really? How interesting.
I'm too paranoid about things sticking together I guess.
If the cels and background are separately bagged then I doubt they will stick.

I didn't know those were set-up that way. But what about breathing?
Several people here mentioned a concern of mine, which is allowing the
cels/paints to breathe. There's no future problems that may arise from
not allowing the cels to be removed from those bags from time to time?

Honestly I have never heard anything about this from the Japanese side, Maybe some collectors do let there cels breathe, but I am pretty sure Madoka would cut a hole in the bag if it was necessary.
