Speaking of "non-words", I had to educate a coworker recently.

There is no such word as - Conversate

When two or more people converse, they are having a conversation.

Ok I'll stop now.

I hate that too. Drives me up the wall. Another one is "irregardless." The fact that it's a double negative doesn't prevent people from using it and typically in place of "regardless" of all things. I can't fathom why people use non-words as much as they do, to the point they supplant proper english.
