Thank you for visiting! I still enjoy collecting and appreciate it when what I do in my updates gives other people pleasure (and not just the covets).blueshinma wrote:Its always a pleasure to peek in on your latest updates! All the work and love you put into your collection sure does show!
I gave this a quick try and couldn't get RS to accept it (as a thumbnail) but I'll fool with the idea and see if I can get it to work for my software. Thanks for passing on the tip!Yupa wrote:However, I think I found another way. If you rename .gif to .jpg it will still be animated.
Thanks, as always, Tex, for looking through all the new additions. I do try to ask "Do I really NEED this?" before I hit the bid button, and I'm glad that your eye backs up my judgment. Maeterlinck's Blue Bird really does deserve more recognition in North America than it's gotten so far, if only due to its Space Cruiser Yamato/Hotoko no Ken connections. It would be a service to the history of anime if some enterprising company could put together even a sub-only DVD release, so we could get a sense of what millions of kids and young adults in Italy, France, and Poland already know.tex-chan wrote:I have to say, much as I love everything, the Bluebird additions have to be my favorites. The cel of Water and Fire is so beautiful. I love how delicate it is. And the gengas you've added to this section are beyond fantastic.
Thank you! Your gallery is also a wonderful place to learn about anime I'm likely to miss otherwise.Cordelia wrote:What a lovely and diverse update! I get introduced to new series every time I admire your artwork
S&W is definitely going into my letter this year to Santa-sama!Promethium wrote:A lovely update! I especially like the S&W additions.
Thanks. How could a CCS collection not have a spectacumous Muse OP cel, with Sakura Tange being the voice behind the horns! I've done a few layouts in the Asatte collection, and they can be much less impressive than genga or douga. But in this case the action is so fast and the keys follow each other so quickly that it wasn't hard to come up with an animation that made sense.ReiTheJelly wrote:I love the new Muse cel; TnN always has such stunning artwork. Your reanimation of the layouts from CCS ep. 1 is also quite entertaining - I don't think I've seen people animate layouts before; it works quite well!
Thanks, all, for stopping by. Stand by for my annual "2011 in Review" Quirky Gallery review, which will go up in a few weeks. I'm now starting to lean toward one particular series as the "Gallery of the Year" but won't decide for certain until I have the images chosen and the bottom-up ranking finished. It certainly is no longer the CCS vs MKR vs TnN three-way battle that it used to be.
