What do you think the average value/ price is for your cels?

The most I have ever paid for a cel is $250. The lowest is 50 cents. I have more 50 cent - $1 cels than cels I paid $100 or more. I think most purchases range in the $30- 60 range and that includes shipping. I'm a pretty good bargain-hunter and I think that helps, but the fact that most of the series in the collection are are not major draws like DBZ & Sailor Moon has made it much easier on the wallet.

This statement represents me quite well too, some cels I've acquired are cheap [$10-], some are expensive [$500+] but it must average at around $70. The deputy fees make it look like the cel's worth more.

With response to Vapalla's comment though, there are some series that attract few collectors but the people who do collect from them are AVID fans willing to battle on anything. So, that's where a seemingly average $30 cel can cost in excess of $100 at auction.

Hmmm.. well.. the least I've ever spent on a cel was about 50..
and the highest being 700+

Sooo... I'd say about... 150 is my average.
I always seem to spend between 100-200 for cels since I'm really picky >_<

However for sketches, I've gone as low as 10 for a sketch set and as high as 1k
so I'd say 80-90 bucks is my average. (unless its a Kiba.. then its a free for all LOL!)

It doesn't take very many inexpensive purchases to bring your average WAY down. Some collectors might be surprised at how those few items affect your average.

It's a lot easier to pull down your average than raise it up.

I must be the Queen of Bargain Buys, because my average only comes out to $27. 67 per cel!

I suppose that's because I've only ever spent more than $500 on two cels. The majority of my babies I got for reasonable prices.

You know, I really wanted to figure this out. I even got out my calculator to add it all up . . . but then I ended up erasing it after I had gone through close to 100 pieces . . . and I don't have the heart to try again.

Maybe later. It can't be too much--the only series I have with cels over $100 is Esca.

My most expensive to date is $250 and the cheapest being $10. The average, not counting freebies or anything, is about $125 per cel. The biggest differences between what I paid and what I've been offered goes to the Trigun background, bought for $10 in a bargain bin, I've been offered $100 via RS feedback. Runner up is the Tetsuo cel from Akira, paid $50 for and have been offered $450. Didn't sell either
