I think SPAM in all it's incarnations is the state food of Hawaii.

Thank goodness for refridgeration technology!

Also, fried twinkies weren't enough for southerners. At the state fairs you can find battered and deep fried candy bars.

Are they also deep frying the official southern treat, the Moon Pie, too?

When I was in Georgia for training in September, I was sad to see that the Moon Pies were replaced with Bimbo pastries(Bimbo products are from Mexico, but personally, I love the name.).

Oh, we still deep fry everything down here, and Moon Pies as well (which are still available). Lately there has been something about deep-frying Snickers and other candy bars. But I think the Scottish got to that first, with fried Mars Bars.

But Twinkies? Yeah... at any fair they have them. I seem to recall even the Renaissance Festival getting in the spirit of "fryed" food. :dban

All this talk of fried food, now I have a mad craving for Cracker Barrel... X|

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

White corn tortillas fried in olive oil and sprinkled with a little salt. I love the smell, and it's a very light snack.

Ever had pumpkin margarita? It's frighteningly good. And this past winter I made it a point to stop by Jack In The Box and get their pumpkin milkshakes. :D

I always get pumpkin flavored treats and baked goods, but these pumpkin alcohol drinks are new to me. I didn't even know you could make a pumpkin flavored beverage. :D

Eeew you pumpkin people make me sick! *gag* :P :D ;)

I've never been a fan of pumpkin, it just smells weird and tastes funny to me.

I love fried pickles though...mmm...there's a great restaurant beachside near me that has the BEST fried pickles...the batter they use on the pickles is completely extraordinary. Now I want some of their fried pickles! XO

For some reason all this talk about food got this song stuck in my head...if you seen LOTR parodies you probably know exactly what I mean when I say..
"boil them, mash them, stick 'em in a stew. Po-ta-to!"
