Whoah, that's an awesome shot of Dilandau & co!
Thanks syan. I bought it a few years ago from Curt and Asylum.
Wow, the framing job on Zel and Amelia is excellent. Shocked I like how it seems you've got each series in its own folder, very organized and neat. (And while I'm at it, I LOVE your Stephanie Puimun Law 'greymouser' paintings too!)
It was the only way I could figure out how to frame those Slayers cels. The backgrounds were much longer than the cels. If I didn't frame them, the long bgs (nearly three feet) were going to end up being damaged. Putting the character's names in the top let me avoid cutting the bg or having and unbelievably huge matt.

Thanks about the Stephanie Puimun Law paintings. I was really excited when she took the commission. She does such beautiful and detailed work.

Ooo! great ideas!!

Well sometime back I posted pictures of mine all over the floor, so I won't show them again. A much nicer floor cover than the one that's underneath them X|

But ordinarily they are either on top of the scanner waiting to be scanned (come ON, Kay, get your act together!!) or in multiple multiple Itoya books in the closet, standing vertically in some very old long milk cartons that are relics from our "Early Student" furnishing period many eons ago.
They were the perfect size for holding LPs, and now are the perfect size for Itoyas...

So I'm guessing there are 12 normal sized Itoyas. I know there are 4 oversized folders on the top shelf in the closet... and there are also about six "Rinkya boxes" of sketches laid flat on top of the milk cartons.

I have three big cels framed, and down here in the Dungeon of Anime: The two big Bubblegum Crisis 2040 cels that Buma keeps asking me for *giggle* and one very precious Zelgadis cel.

But I ALSO have a nice file cabinet with space in it... *ponder* and an old tv/lp storage cabinet that might be the perfect, PERFECT spot to put the cel books! Oooo. Plot. Plan. Plot...

It's very interesting to see the different ways we store our cels, the one thing in common is the dedication and effort each collector puts in.

Wow, some of you have a lot of cels 8O No wonder scanning & storage can be a pain. I have less than 30 cels in all. Currently, they have backing boards and are stored in Prat Start Presentation portfolios. The oversized cels are separately stored in a Prat Presentation book with spiral spine. And all these are sitting vertically at the bottom of my dark gloomy wardrobe. :) I would luv to display some cels but I'm really afraid of fading caused by UV. An alternative is to colour photocopy the artwork for display purposes...sketches are ok but not sure if this will work with painted cels.

So why isn't it up in your gallery? I want to see those beautiful boys up close. :drool Dilandau's my absolute favorite from Esca . . . which probably makes me a freak. :P

You know, that's an interesting thought . . . I've never had any of my cels framed, since I have the same UV worries that you do. All of mine are either in Itoyas or waiting in Rinkya plastic cases to be rebagged and put in Itoyas. Some of my less presentable cels will probably stay in the plastic cases. :P
