For me the answer would be around 5-6 feet at least. 8)

Count me in on that crowd LOL!

I think I could build a mini wall with mine too
:rollin

Lets just say, the cel books are so thick they literally bent
and warped our Ikea bookshelf so now we set them at the bottom shelf and
stick the rest in the closet stacked up like books
O_O

Ok.. now to think like Keropi...
if I have about.. 200 sets showing on our site..
(not counting any of Ray's),... if I multipled by an average
of 30-45 sheets per 1 set... I'd say I have about
an estimate of 10k sheets of paper

:OMG:

bejesus! :l :l

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

I need something else to keep my mind occupied besides the usual anime viewing. Something...something...hmm. :?
*Ahhh* Don't worry mate, there are TONS of things you could immerse yourself in besides anime and its facets.
Anime & collecting art makes up less than 1/3 of my interests. There's no shortage of things you could get into. When I'm stuck for inspiration I sometimes surf the web randomly and see what comes up.

With your scientific mind, you might find astronomy or palmistry interesting, or how about something that mixes creativity & practicality like cooking or carpentry [not simultaneously]. So many options...

The reason this subject came up is because this week my work hours have been trimmed. I have more free time than usual.

The last three days I've been cleaning my room (a little bit at a time). I've also been catching up on anime and archiving my YJ link information. Overall though it's still been kind of boring this week.

I feel less like going out with all the pouring rain we've had this week. :)

I'm with Carla /heh
I don't know how much I've bought in the last year...What I do know is that I should scan some things in...I have pretty opening sketches and cels ^_^

My "To scan box" has about...let's see.....

+400 Settei from diff shows....
+ AROUND 25 cels (I don't collect cels that much anymore)
+ +300 sketches (+ about 200 on the way) all from diff shows...
On the way: 2 cels from Slayers...Sketches from Host Club (Plus a dream wishlist from the op *drops over*)
Stuff here=Gundam Destiny sketches, Jaja sketches...and so on..

The thought of scanning it all makes my head hurt :hurt:

Though I think I'll just scan the prettier ones first....Maybe I'll take it one day at a time

I haven't bought anything in about six months. =_= And that is mainly because there has been a SERIOUS drought of cels I want to buy. No decent Shiine or Akazukin Chacha cels...very few Sailor Moon and all too expensive. I'm going stir crazy!

Lol, I know what you mean! I just took a whole evening last week to scan 200+ cels w/their sketches that I now need to add to my gallery. Still have a 2 inch stack of sketches that need scanning.

:rollin :sweatdrop It's just that december was a big "spending month for me"...About half of the stack is stuff from last year that I did not scan...YET.
Don't be self conscious..I just got SETS...and you know how big those get...too freaking heavy...and they take up lots of space...

A whole evening? It took me like 5 days to scan 56 things about 2 weeks ago...in the end my hands where numb (after the re-sizing) and my dam scanner dies every hour :x And you still need to scan more....I wish you luck ^^

That is mental! How do you do it so quickly?! In an evening I can only manage 4-5. Maybe you should come round my place for a fortnight and see how long it takes you to get through the 4000 pieces I have to scan. Sound like a plan? *heh*

Yeah...that sounds like a production factory rate doesn't it? :)

It was very common for me to take 75 to 90 minutes to scan one cel. Needless to say, scanning three cels in one day was quite an accomplishment for me as far as I was concerned. That's why I rarely ever did that many at one time. :coffee:

(It's not that I'm a good scanner. It's just that I try to do the best that I can with the knowledge I had at the time.)

My rate has gone up in the last year. But I don't have any idea what my numbers are. I stopped going to have laser hair removal, that freed up some $$, so I bought more sketches! :D

I know that it'll take forever to get my latest things scanned. Anyone know of a commercial sized scanner that's cheap?

Would a "I'm a hopeless fanatic obsessed with acquiring thin sheets of clear plastic covered with pretty colors and I'm sooo addicted that I haven't even realized that I've lost track" answer be acceptable for this one?

Yeah, well that's about where I'm at.

The best I can do is a guesstimate of how many are in my 'to be scanned' piles.

Cels: 100+?
Sketches: 45+?

Goodness, I even think my guesstimates are waaay off.
*shrugs*
