That's a real shame, Blaster, and as someone who dodged the same bullet that got you, I really am sorry. It's not much comfort, but at least this thread has gotten the Beta community more educated in what to look for in such an item, and hopefully your experience will save a bunch of others.

And (cold comfort too) in the bigger scheme of collectables, animation art is still a relatively safe place. I've read that 70-90% of all sports autographs FA are forged, and 80-90% of alleged Dali, Picasso, Miro, and Chagall prints are likewise bogus. These forgeries can pass hands at much more than you paid, and the owners can't console themselves with having a really nicely executed original work of art in exchange for their money.

I'd get a nice mat, frame her up, and display her proudly at the end of the biggest room in your place.
