I'm sure you'll enjoy it here.
...Would you mind telling me how the application to GEOS goes? I'm interested in applying to AEON (a similar type of company).

Hey, Shine! I can't tell you all that much so far. I did fill out the GEOS on-line application forms, but then when I didn't hear back from them, I decided to fax a paper copy to their office in Toronto as well. Now, they do mention on their website that if you're called for an interivew, you have to go through "three full days" of it. Now, whether that means an actual interview that goes from 9am to 5pm for three days in a row, or if you come in for three sperate interviews on three days, I'm not sure. I figure it's the latter, since I can't imagine what they'd want to know on day three that I hadn't told them on days one and two!!!!
I do also know that they say that they give you some training in preperation, so likely they'll teach us about how the class room is structured, the texts used, dealing with the students, etc. I've done a few web searches on it, and come across pages from a few people who've done it, and they're a wealth of info! A personal fav is one run by Wendy Dinsmore, who also runs The Home of the White Shadow page, (a Gatch fan page) but who also has a really cool set of pages about Japan. Here's the link:

Wendy went for one year, and ended up staying for eight, so she must have liked it! LOL!
I'll pm you when I get more info, or when (and if) they ever get a hold of me for an interview. I keep saying "if they ever" because it seems like FOREVER since I sent in my resume, but really it's only been 4 buisness days, and today is a holiday here in Canada! Seems much, much longer when you're waiting! LOL!
