small correction:

It's not Greenley Colorado, it's Greeley (no N).

Named after Horace Greeley, the guy who said "Go West, young man, and grow up with the nation!" And inspired good old Nathan Meeker to do just that and establish a "utopian" city where drinking was not allowed and only upstanding young men could own land. (Don't ask me, I'm not THAT old yet!)

We get lots of mail bound for "Greenley" around here though.

Hmmm. Maybe I take the picture standing in front of a cow.

That's where my hubby grew up, and...was it two years ago that we made the odyssey from here to there for the Fourth of July parade (which has a name, but I can't quite remember it). And we ate at the drive-in diner that's been there forever. Hubby went to the school that was at the University, I think was some sort of experimental teachers' thing back then.

Yep. Well I hesitate to say that I'm FROM Greeley. I'm actually from Maine, but I've lived here for 13 years.

You came to the: Greeley Independence Stampede
and he went to the UNC Laboratory School, which is now dissociated from the university and called University School.

okays I have done another smallish update for the idea. I'm thinking of keeping this open for a few more days, then possibly emailing/PMing each person who said they would like ot participate then get a confirmation of those who will participate in the project.

Also if there is anyone who would like to work with me in figuring out the the proper mailing list, and other details, then feel free to PM me.

Thank you again to everyone who have expressed intrest to particiapte in the project.

Well, now that my busy holidays are over with I have time to get back to working on this (and other) projects. So in the coming days I will be figuring out the shipping schedule/list/details of the event. I also ask those who didn't give a location to let me know where you are... I would also like to know if those couple of people who gave "maybes" might be able to give a more definate answer.

Also, it's not too late to sign up and participate in the project... so please sign up, even if your state/city/country is represented already! This project is about more than locations, but also about the people involved.

Just a fun idea but.. We should add up the total mileage of the cel. So basically map quest the time to every person and then add it up. I'd do it but i'd need everyone's address. Just an idea

(This is of course if Hotice needs help)

Also another idea is to keep reuseing the a part of the previous package in the one you send so eventually when it gets back to Hotice it was a piece of every package used for the shipping of the cel!
