Anyone seen Steam Boy?

Just curious if anyone has seen Steam Boy or has any opinions on it. I hear it's coming to theaters here in the states soon. Oh, and is it CG or cel animated?

It's definitely on my "to see"-list.
From what I was told, it veers away completely from anything else Otomo has done.
And it is supposed to be the most costly anime ever....

From the looks of the clips, and the commercials that have been running, its CG... or they really have some good artistes over there

well this is what i found out about it

The long anticipated feature cost 2.4 billion Yen (US$20.2m) to produce just a few dollars short of the 2.4 billion Yen that it cost to produce Spirited Away, the most expensive Anime feature ever. In contrast, Steam Boy comprises 180 000 cels, 1.5 times as many as Spirited Away.

Cool trailer and clips! The animation looks amazing. Is Anna Paquin doing the voice of the lead character though? That's a little scary...

They used cels?? I'm afraid to see the prices on those babies if/when they come out.

I think when they say cels now, what they really mean is individually rendered images - virtual cels. If it was designed on paper, though, that is many reams of drawings!
