New Anime in July 2005?

Post by Keropi »

Here are some anime that might be coming out shortly. Since I know completely nothing about most of these anime and because I'm compiling this list by hand please take this with a grain of salt. I'm not even sure if some of these anime are TV series or OVAs.

I got these anime from Moonphases website:

June 29th 2:40 AM - Kamichu! (TV)
http://www.sonymusic.co.jp/Animation/kamichu/
Just judging from the artwork, it looks like a shounen anime with four main girls as leads.

July 1st 10:00 AM - Amaenai de yo! (12 episodes):
http://www.vap.co.jp/amae/
With all those girls in it with the fanservice it has to be shounen. :P

July 2nd 1:30 AM - Kidou Shinsengumi Moeyo Ken (TV)
http://www.moeken.jp/
This was the anime that had Rumiko Takahashi as a character designer. I didn't care much for the OVA so I guess I'm not watching the TV series either. :P

July 2nd 7:00AM - Sugar Sugar Rune (TV)
http://www.sugarune.com/
Cute witch girls on brooms? The main webpage header makes me think this is a shoujo anime. It might be the only shoujo anime coming out this season.

July 3rd 12:30 AM - Da Capo ~ Second Season
http://www.hatsunejima.com/
Yay! Da Capo Second Season! \o/ It'll probably be mostly fluffy until the end like the first series, but I'm still watching it. Looks like they'll concentrate on the non-Nemu/Sakura characters of the first season.

July 3rd 1:30 AM - Okusama wa Joshi Kousei
http://avexmode.jp/animation/okusama/
Have no idea what this is about. It looks like one girl and one guy (?high schoolers) on the main page. Not sure exactly what this is. ?Based off a mature manga? ?^_^?

July 3rd 7:25 PM - Guyver the Bioboosted Armor
http://www.wowow.co.jp/anime/guyver/
A remake of the old Guyver anime? ?^_^?

July 4th 12:00 AM - Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo (TV)
http://www.mahousyoujo.com/
Is this the delayed Okusama magical girl anime from earlier?

July 4th 1:30 AM - Pani Poni Dash
http://www.starchild.co.jp/paniponi/
A girl dressed in a labcoat? Who knows? :P

July 5th 1:30 AM - GunXSword
http://www.jvcmusic.co.jp/m-serve/gunsword/
Another crazy gun anime series that takes place in a Wild West desert setting? ?^_^?

July 5th 2:00 AM - Playball
http://avexmode.jp/animation/playball/
Baseball anime.

July 5th 2:15 AM - Akahori Gedou Hour Rabuge
http://www.gedou.net/
Heck if I know. Looks like they're appearing on a talent show. :sweatdrop

July 7th (or is it July 13th?) 12:00 AM - Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid
http://www.wowow.co.jp/anime/fullmeta/
Now this looks interesting to me. 8O

July 7th 1:00 AM - Suzuka TV
http://www.suzuka-tv.com/
From ANN Encyclopedia: Yamato Akitsuki travels to Tokyo alone to study in one of the high schools located within the area. He lives in with his aunt who operates a public bath solely for the ladies in the local district and begins his normal high-school life. One day, he chances upon a girl in school and is immediately mesmerised by her beauty. He is shocked when he realise later that the girl, Suzuka, is actually living next door to him. From then on, Yamato's ordinary life begins to change little by little.

July 7th 2:40 AM - Tide Line Blue
http://www.tlblue.com/
Looks like a group of young people and adults on a small island dealing with stuff in space, but mainly a submarine. The animation quality makes it look like something that will get picked up fast.

July 8th 12:30 AM - SHUFFLE!
http://www.wowow.co.jp/anime/shuffle/
Okay here's what I'm mainly waiting for. \o/ It looks pretty cute and the animation in the SHUFFLE prologue looked great.

July 8th 12:00 PM - Iriya no Sora
http://www.toei-anim.co.jp/animeister/iriya/
I guess they're airing the sixth and final OVA on this date?

July 9th 2:00 AM - Peto Peto-san?
http://www.petopeto.com/
Young schoolkids story? ?^_^?

July 15th 2:05 AM - Ichigo Mashimaru
http://www.tbs.co.jp/ichigomashimaro/
Okay here is that loli series that slightly reminds some people of Azumanga Daioh. A lot of well known seiyuu are voicing this.

July 17th 12:00 AM - Bokusatsu Tenshi Doukuro-chan http://www.bin-kan.com/main.php
Episodes ??5-6 edited version of the OVA airing?

July 22nd 9:03 PM (what is it with these weird air times?) -
http://www.ntv.co.jp/kinro/lineup/2005/0722/
?Is this a Lupin III series?

Aug 6th 7:00 PM - ??Guyver
http://www.guyver.jp/
More Guyver?

Aug 28th 9:00 PM - ????
http://www.animax.co.jp/robodream2004/award/
Can't even tell what this is. It doesn't even have its own website. >_<

The above anime are the ones with a scheduled date. Out of the ones listed above from only glancing at their webpages it appears I'm only looking forward to SHUFFLE!, Da Capo Second Season and Full Metal Panic Second Raid at this point. (Doukuro-chan and Iriya are really OVAs) We'll see.

Anyone know what the anime titles are that I wasn't able to take a guess on? :sweatdrop Anyone have any comments on any of these shows?

A little more info on the 2 I'm more interested in -

Both sound right up my alley. 8)

Definitely add this one to the list as well -

Gotta wonder if the release of the Æon Flux movie and animated series on DVD (finally!) didn't have a little to do with inspiring this one.

The Doctor : … and then, just to finish off, I’m going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky !
Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?

More info on these three:

Kamichu: Middle school girl becomes a god, but doesn't know what kind.
Her friends decide to help her find out.

Okusama wa Joshi Kosei (My wife is a high schooler):
High school girl marries her teacher and has to keep it a secret from
her friends.

Dokuro-chan: Yep. You are correct.

Is that a TV/Cable/OVA series coming out in July-Sept? Do you know the debut date? I'd like to know when I might expect it. It looks interesting.

I'd say from what is out so far that I've been able to see I'm most looking forward to seeing this season (in this order). Summer is once again proving to be the bishoujo anime season:

1. SHUFFLE! - It'll be fluffy, but I still like the Aoi Nishimata inspired character deigns.

2. Da Capo Second Season - More fluffiness.

3. GunXSword - Even though the first two episodes come across as feeling very familiar with a drugged out Spike having a sword and mecha and being in a Trigun/Full Metal Alchemist type world. It's still got a hook in me somehow. I'm watching this for similar reasons to why I watched Erementar Gerad before I was able to really get into it.

4. Kamichu! - You said they're in Middle School? Hard to tell from those character designs. I thought they were in elementary school. :P

5. Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo
6. Okusama wa Joshi Kousei
7. Peto Peto-san
8. Tide Line Blue
9. Akahori Gedou Hour Rabuge second segment
10. Amaenai de yo!!
11. Suzuka
12. PaniPoni Dash!
13. Akahori Gedou Hour Rabuge first segment
14. Moeyo Ken TV
15. Sugar Sugar Rune

Still looking forward to Full Metal Pani Second Raid and Ichigo Mashimaru. I doubt I'd like Playball very much.
