That's cool news! It says it is not a theater release, but a DVD release. I wonder if it would be broadcast on Adult Swim?

Yeah, I was wondering about this as well. Considering how much it costs to produce, you would think someone would also broadcast it--likely Fox, as they still retain the rights I believe. The only reason not to broadcast of which I can think is that they may not want to cut into DVD sales.

And yeah, I'm hoping that Fox is watching the sales figures and pondering a return of the series, a la Family Guy.

SO AWESOME!!! :D :D :D I never really appreciated Futurama until I watched the DVDs. I absolutely love the show now! I think the later episodes were much better than the early ones, which is probably why the show didn't establish a very good fan base. The last episode is so fantastic, I can't believe it... :)

Same here. I always compared the show to the Simpsons and found it to lack funny stuff. It got completely blown out of the water when I discovered the complete nuttiness and pop culture references of Family Guy.
Although it is quite as good as its predecessor, Futurama never got out of the shadow of The Simpsons. (It seems like American Dad is facing the same problem with Family Guy.)

The Doctor : … and then, just to finish off, I’m going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky !
Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?

I aggree with you, I watched American Dad a few times and I already find that it's repating the basic storys. CIA Dad over reacts to everything. I don't mind futurama but sometimes I find the characters lack some sort of unity that has been formed in the Simpsons. I LOVE family guy! Especially Stewie!

AWESOME NEWS!! I'm pretty sure they'll broadcast it on adult swim tho. Eventually. Maybe they'll make more than one or popularity of sales on it will drive Fox to maybe bring that show back too. Very unlikely on the latter tho.
