Ice-skating can be dangerous
Well today i went ice skating and i was skating pretty good (just like always) but then i started messing around with someone and i quickly went backwards and turned around and the ice had a crack in it so i tripped on it and fell and hit my left side of my face along with my mouth on the ice and busted my lip. It was pretty bad since the blood was dripping while i stepped out. After that my head started spinning alil and then i went back home and decided to go to the hospital. So i went and they said its pretty deep but said they could stitch it or put something special creme thing that keeps it together. So i decided to put the special creme on but they said that its not 100% that it will keep it shut and if it doesnt then they cant stitch it back together so itll remain a scar. So what im trying to say, when you go ice-skating, be cautious and dont fool around too much. But the good thing might be me not going to college...heh....

Ouch !
If it is any consolation ... (cliché alert coming up) : I am told women dig scars.
Now admittedly, most of mine are emotonial ones with just don't seem to do the trick.
But maybe some of the Beta-ladies can agree or disagree with that statement.

The Doctor : … and then, just to finish off, I’m going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky !
Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?

Depends on where the scar is.
And emotional scars.... weeeeel... it depends on where the scar is.
My husband and I went ice skating once, and he lost an edge and went flying backwards onto the ice. Whacked his head hard, and sent his glasses flying. We think he concussed himself a bit, because later he was dizzy and nauseous for a few days.
So, yeah. I agree. Ya gotta keep yer head up!

Really now that is an interesting fact I hadn't heard before.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Luckily I haven't had anything that serious happen whilst ice skating but I've had plenty of bruises up my legs and arms. >.< Not to mention it makes my ankles and joints ache for days after.
I'm always cautious about the perils of falling down suddenly when I was told a story by a teacher, of someone that had their fingers run over with a pair of skates.
Least they didn't have to look for ice for the fingers... ok, bad pun. >.>
Hope you get better soon though, hyelakingsfan. Lip injuries usually take a while to heal and can be easily re-opened so be careful.

So...
I guess what you're saying is you're not going to be indulging in any heavy kiss-marathoning for Halloween?
Ooo. Pirate hat and a patch and you'll be all set.
Seriously, that hurts. My most similar event was an in-your-face (literally) encounter with a rock underwater. Drove one of my rather large and solid incisors right through the top lip.
Is there anything as fun as a swollen-up lip?
I hope it heals up quickly and that you're not too uncomfortable. When you said you smacked your head on the ice too I was thinking you were lucky not to give yourself a concussion or cracked skull
Take care of you!! We need you around here!

Bad luck Harry, I'm cringing just thinking about it. Reminds me of the dentists, but that's a lot more fun when you're half-paralysed through anesthetic. If you find it hard to talk I guess we'll see a lot more of you here! Let your fingers do the talking (so to speak)

Out of the gloom a voice said unto me;
"Smile and be happy, things could be worse".
So I smiled and was happy
and behold;
things did get worse...
