Anime look alikes

I would have swore this was Heero from Gundam Wing,
(and I have other Gundam fans that thought the same thing)
but it turns out to be a character from "Raideen the Superior"

Interesting how animators make characters look so much
alike. How about it guys?? Any other look alike characters
you can think of??

Wow Pudge!! Definitely a strong resemblance to Heero for sure!

Hmm.. I can' t think of any characters like this at the moment, but I'm sure plenty of them are out there!

I have written Tex-chan about how I find her Virus Buster Serge cels of Serge similar to my cels of Olo in Platinum Hugen Ordian.

They don't look identical, but they could be brothers...

I think the similarity can be partially explained in the fact that the two series share a directer, Masami Obari.

who looks just awfully similar to a certain young man from El Hazard,

who is also pretty much a dead ringer for the main character is Dual (I don't have any Dual cels)... etc, etc...

I know the first time Baylor showed me Ichigo, I told her I thought he looked like Kyo from Fruits Basket.

That's the only one that comes to mind right now.

Hey, I just got to make that connection last week when I first watched Fruits Basket.

My husband even saw Kyo and said "Hey, it's Ichigo!"

Take a gander at Harukanaru. Tenma is another Ichigo clone.

well dangit, I know I've seen repro cels of the boys somewhere, but I can't find them at the moment. check this eetsy little shot of them

I think it's maybe just all the anime I've watched had very different characters, but the Kyo/Ichigo is the first I've really noticed.
Of course, now that I've seen Ichigo, you know I won't see another character. Ever.

Traits. Now character traits. There are a lot of those that cross the series.

Yeah - there sure are a lot of similar characters out there.

Especially different series from the same animation studios.

Eh... there's something to be said for familiarity.
