I just finished watching the OVA.

So what happens at the end?

Is anyone keeping up with the manga? If so then can you tell me what happens at the end? Has the manga ended yet or is it still going?

The OVA just raises more questions and answers pretty much nothing.

I doubt it's one of those 'deep meaningful' series

Few fighting series have a proper ending where everything's tied up and addressed; not only because they hope to receive a second or third season in which to continue to story, but I think it's often better to leave things open so we can imagine how things go.
In these series, it's the journey that's important, not the destination.

The anime is on my 'to watch' list so I can't offer an opinion on the characters and story ^__^
